That whole 'dont look for love' thing I dont get. Love is a fundamental need in people. Why not look for it? It is like saying "Dont think pink elephants" but on a deeper much more serious scale. Perhaps folks mean to maintain balance in one's life while single?

I agree that if one seriously wants the right fit it will perhaps take time and patience. Not for all though. Some folks find their true love early in their lives. Move toward love and it will find you. Loving ourselves will make finding someone that much more savory. Love could be found here or it could be found any old place.

Look for love all you want and you may find it sooner than later.

it's going to sound kind of sappy but i do think that Master and i were meant to be together which in some ways feels kind of scary and very comforting in other ways. Yes BDSM, D/s ect can go with love, some would rather you didn't love them for whatever reason which is fine but i think it's best, the connection, the trust ect go hand in hand with love.

Yeah I've been told that countless times as well. I was told that if I wanted love I should go sign up on eharmony. Guess what? I had a profile there too. Dominant men come in all ways....

but ya know..I found love right here..right where I was looking and right in front of me.

falling in love with a person doesn't depend on where you meet. met my first husband on a school bus. met this one on another bdsm site where he found me, i wasn't looking. be open to it happening and someday it will find you.

Ask your happily married friends and relatives how they met. For the vast majority of folks, it was through mutual friends or mutual interests or mutual work. For most of them, they were not looking to fall in love, it happened.

So the advice you recieved wasn't negative. Be here for the mutual interest in bdsm. Let love happen.

Think also about panning for gold. If you look at the American River you don't see gold. Look under the surface of the water, you don't see gold. i met my current & second Master here, and am very very happy. We have been together for only 2 months, but it is a genuine love relationship, and we intend it to go forward into a permanent 24/7 relationship.i feel our chances are as good from meeting here, as from any other method of meeting.

I don't believe in, or want, the sappy fragile thing most people call "true love". Most romantic love is a like combined with lust, something that fades rather quickly. I don't care for that sort of drama in my life. I also believe that there are different types of love, even with those that we find ourselves sexually attracted to. Because they are different does not make one more valuable than another.

I believe in living my life, living it with passion, and remaining open to love. It can be found anywhere.

In addition, just because it CAN be, does not mean I expect it.
