Status: offline 		Jeptha and Pompeii, I agree that there tend to be more real/genuine men than women here, since there are a lot of scammers to sift through who pretend to be women, but it's rare for them to pretend to be men. I live in an area with lots of people who are into kink, so it's relatively easy to meet/talk with local people, but determining compatibility takes more effort. I think a lot of guys are picky, and most have other places besides CM where they find potential dates/playpartners/etc. If all I wanted was a casual playpartner or fuckbuddy, that would be easy, but I don't particularly feel drawn to that. Men definitely tend to be more willing to contact women than the other way around, and the couple of times I have contacted a man first, I've had a 100% response rate, mostly positive. I'm pretty sure that isn't the case for most men, even if they write polite and well-thought-out e-mails.

Chicagobaby, I'm also looking for a LTR with love, caring, mutual interests, and all that. I found my last boyfriend/Dom online (though at a different site). I've also gone on dates with people I've met through other venues, but I think CM has a lot of real, local, interesting people, and I use it to initially meet and screen them. I don't try to establish a relationship online, and I really want someone who's local. I want someone I can go on dates with, do BDSM play with, cuddle up with, and all that good stuff. Talking online or over the phone is fine, but not enough by itself.

I have never seen that specific question before.
It is interesting.

You must understand, that love has many definitions depending on the person.
 
I found the following bit of information and it really helped me.  I hope you see the wisdom in the words as I did.  I am sorry I do not know whom to credit it to.

In reply to the red question, sure. What would contraindicate them? They can go together just fine. Perhaps your critic was claiming that there's too many players on here who don't want both, and no reliable way to tell the person who wants one from the person who wants both.

Yes, you sure can.  My hubby and I met on here, he collared me and we got married almost a year later.  Just make up your mind not to settle for anything less than love...then you know you will find it.

Can you find true love here? I would say Yes.....??

Can you find long lasting true love here?  I would answer, very remote.

Can you find true friendship here?  I would say very possible, far greater than the love option.

Can you find true long lasting friendship here?  I would say a strong chance.

However you have to be very selective and very careful, the real people are in low percentage terms..??

I met my Lord and Master here, he proposed to me on our six month anniversary of living together and we are to be married in March 2010 in Vegas!!!  He is everything to me and more and I could not be happier if I tried.

And we have lots of vanilla things in common - books, WoW, a love of miniature golf, hiking, SCA and many other things.

It sure as hell isn't easy, but it is worth it.

You may find it on this site, another site or being introduced to someone else through friends or people at work. When you are with somebody, you just want to be with them not because you need to be with them.
