I have noticed that too, Lockit!

I am a dom, but I am also a woman.  If a guy doesn't show some kind of response in terms of calling or writing,  I figure "just not that into me"  and I move on.  If he can't hold up a conversation anymore, I just figure he has run out of things to say!  (bored now!)

It isn't that they don't contact... they do... they just say hello Ma'am and seem to think that the perfect slave doesn't do much but kneel there or serve.  I guess I want an entertainment slave and that isn't in the guidebook to the refined personal servant.  Their work is done, they are slave and kneeling... no sense in actually making her smile or laugh or have any interest in anything but kicking them between the legs.  (Or something like that)

I say it all the time...  If I wanted someone sitting silently at my feet, I would get a dog.

Fast reply to OP:

Being articulate and able to speak/write well is a desirable quality like any other.  Some men have it, some men don't.  If it's something that you need or want in a potential partner, there's no reason not to insist that your needs be met--it's no different than being physically attracted to someone or having other things in common.

Personally, I gravitate toward people who write and speak well, who are literate and reasonably well-educated, etc..  It's a good indicator of common values and shared lifestyle.  I assume other dommes might have similar issues if their bodies are a major focus in their lives.

Maybe you want a slave/vanilla switch, Lockit.

I guess I want an entertainment slave and that isn't in the guidebook to the refined personal servant.

What sort of entertainment?  Juggling, conjuring, mime-artistry, pole-dancing?

OOOH card tricks!  I love those!  Also fire eating, and that geek thing where the guy sticks the needle through his arm.

LOL Peon... I was being sarcastic.  Vanilla wouldn't work too well for me. lol

Now... I wouldn't mind some slave bells and a dancing man... but I want more than a body.  I need the mind and all that comes with it!  Besides all I like to do... laughter is number one and anyone that gets close to me has some.  To see it dry up in some sort of thinking that a slave has no personality or duty other than serving is a bit much for me to take in!  Not in my world! lol

I don't mean to be only critical about it... I would really like to understand this type of thinking or mindset that some submissive's have.  What makes them think the way they do?

What makes submissives think the way they do?  Why not just ask for an easy solution to the unified field theory while you're at it?

The thing is, all around me I see submissive men who have actual brains and personalities that do NOT go away the minute they are collared, claimed, married, attached, whatever.   What's up with the other guys?   Really, instead of us (we?) women chuntering on about how we need a bdsm charm school, the MEN who are successful should start a course on how the other men should behave.  It would certainly raise their profile!

I find it quite easy to understand, in an abstract sort of way.  Taking submission to the nth degree might mean, for some, to aspire to being a kind of robot.  ("Robot" comes from the same word as "slave", if I recall.).  All the 'owner's thoughts - her will - take the place of his own.  So his mind becomes like a hard disc waiting to be written to.  Nothing there, except what you put there.

Well turning into a robot when you started out as an interesting person is the most vile form of bait and switch.

I think for some of them that is how they think they should be, sort of "This is my fantasy, so if I act it out it will become reality", what they don't realize is that it might work for a particular scene but long term? Yaaaaaaaaaaaaawn

But also a lot of guys have run into mistresses who want them to be the "silent type", I guess to each their own, but I find it terribly frustrating if a guy seems to have the personality of a wet blanket and can only say "Yes, Mistress..." or "Whatever Mistress commands", they might have their uses though, cleaning purposes ;) Anything where you don't really have to interact with them, because with that attitude the interaction would be bleeping one-sided anyway.

Funny thing is, now, at the exact point when I think I've finally worked it all out - I've got tired of thinking about it altogether.  All thought and no action makes Peon a dull boy.
