I do try to be understanding and compassionate and know that words and writing don’t always come easy for some, so I do try to give a chance or two much to my own dismay or punishment I think. (Now)
So really, the expert on you is you and even if it is difficult to talk about yourself, isn’t it worth a bit of struggle to tell someone about yourself if you really, really want what you say you seek?
Do other’s feel like I do… that if I have to drag it out of you word by word, there is no way in hell you are going to be able to handle one conversation with me?
Or… am I being too harsh?

I understand your frustration with the appearent lack of ability of some to communicate. Too harsh? I don't think so. You mentioned that you give them several opportunities to step upto the plate to engage in a meaningful dialogue with you. You're clearly a person who values the opportunity to converse with a potential partner as well as all of the other fun potentials that come along with a quality person. Imo, many times there's the desire by the person sending the mail to simply have a fetishistic set of criteria met and there's not really a real person attached to the meeting of their needs, just an idea. Well, ideas aren't supposed to ask questions and it rather blows them out of the water when it happens.
I enjoy many things in conversations with partners and looking back on people I have had significant relationships with, there's not a particular style of iteraction or set of things about which we've conversed but across the board, there's been a depthful level of communication. I need to be able to get mentally wound up in and with a person that I'm with; it's part of what 'does it' for me. A person I behaved in submission to shortly after my ex- and I separated (And for the better portion of a year) once said to me: The best way to punish you would be silence. To which I replied: What do you mean? He noted that not allowing me to communicate and not communicating with me would be rather torturous. He hit the nail on the head: absolutely true. Now, that doesn't mean that I'm one of those 'let's talk about feelings' females 'cause I'm so very not but communication, to me, is really necessary and someone who can't step up is going to get run over or lose appeal.
