yes...my mum found some ropes in the laundry. You must realise this was my worst nightmare come true. She seemed to be okay with, I say 'seemed' because she immediately phoned me up to a) ask what they were doing in there and b) tell me it didn't bother her - but I think she rather enjoyed me squirming to answer her.

My relationship with my mother is uncomfortable, though, anyway.

Just last night I had a whole bar full of people witness some very unusual behavior. We went out with a few friends of mine- one of which I've known for 3 years. She was really cool about it. He demanded I go get him a drink which I had been doing all night and she looked at him and said, "Can't you say please" while looking at him like he was some kind of jerk.

After a little explaining and laughs she understood. By the end of the night she was calling him Sir and asking his permission to dance with me. Her and her BF got a big kick out of all the little rules he was enforcing on me. We had a blast but I was terribly nervous at first... I thought she was going to react waaaayy differently.

I'm actually dealing with this at work. I told a friend about my likes and that I played online with a cyber master. I am in a vanilla relationship in my home life, and after twelve years, can't just say, it's been fun but. . . Anyway, I suspect my friend told my other co-workers because suddenly I am person non gratia at my work place. I look at it this way, it's there problem not mine. I'm not ashamed of these desires. I am what I am.

Has anyone here ever had someone such as a family member, friend ect find out about their lifestyle by accident? Or, have you ever tried to explain your situation to a vanilla person? How did they take it? Did they accept it or did they send you for counseling? lol. Just wondering what it's like to be "found out" and have to explain yourself.

Haven't yet, but it is somewhat of a fear of mine. Especially with my extremely straight-laced housemate and good friend. Fortunately being self-employed i don't have to worry about comrades finding out. But, if the day arises and friends of mine decide to boot me because of it, then so be it. i am what i am.

I am a very private person. I've taken great care to make sure that neither my family nor my friends find out that i'm a sub. I don't think they would understand and would probably be pretty shocked.

This actually makes me feel bad because part of me would really love to tell someone I know. I would love to share with them the wonderful peace and freedom I have found with my Master. I wish they could know me for who I really am. I've known I am a submissive for many years and now I'm in my 1st D/s relationship and my Master makes me so wonderfully happy. I would love to share that with with my friends but I just don't dare, I don't think they would understand and could possibly upset them.

Never by accident, but I've been out for a long time so if someone who knows me doesn't know by now, it's because they haven't been paying attention.

The last 'nilla I tried explaining this too just joined the collarme site. One more brought to the underworld, about 6 billion to go. lol
