Aylee -> RE: Should I ask Her if She is a Domme (5/26/2009 7:41:40 AM)

Duuuuuuuuuuuudes!  This whole story is just getting stranger and stranger.

Let me see iffn I have this correct:

Lobo gets a job.  YAY Lobo.

Proceeds to ask personal questions of his immediate supervisor during a work lunch.

Feels "picked upon" because of the way his supervisor dresses.  Also she tells him what to do.  And because she has to watch him like a trapped rat to make sure that it is accomplished.  Has some issue with time-keeping*.

Lobo threatens his supervisor with "I am going to tell on you about the way you dress and that you "bark" at me."  Supervisor tells him to go for it while finding it amusing.

Lobo is not retained.

Company is nice enough to tell him that it is due to poor interpersonal communication skills. ~ Which they did not have to becuase he was in his probation period.

Lobo is going to try and sue.

NOW Lobo feels discriminated against because he has depression.

Have I got the story?

Edited to add:  *About the time-keeping ~ depending on the amout of time and at what point this happened, I can understand this happening.  For example, the place I was working when I was preggers ~ NONE of the clocks MATCHED on what time it was.  So, say you check the clock closest to you when you head out for a break.  While on your break you are keeping an eye on a different clock.  So you end up being two or three minutes late back from your break.  It can take some time to get down where all the clocks are off at.  ~ Personally, for me, I got irritated after a couple weeks and fixed all the clocks so that they matched.  Now, if your time-keeping issues are something more serious. . . then you loose my understanding.

KyttynTheMynx -> RE: Should I ask Her if She is a Domme (5/26/2009 7:59:09 AM)

If everyone is entitled to a job...why the hell are there so many on unemployment?  Why am I having to leave the state to do job hunting?

lobodomslavery -> RE: Should I ask Her if She is a Domme (5/26/2009 8:29:59 AM)

news flash, i am currently having to job hunt too. There is so much unemployment because employers dont give a tuppeny damn about anyone but their bottom line.  And as for capitalism, it is corrupt, it is selfish, it has caused this mess. a sympathetic form of socialism would be better, ie  people not being bullied at work or having contracts terminated

KyttynTheMynx -> RE: Should I ask Her if She is a Domme (5/26/2009 8:47:17 AM)

Aylee, I am gonna need your help with the stilettos.  If I am doin this, I am doin it right.

i have to disagree Lady Pact. everyone is entitled to a job and a reasonable standard of living. Nobody has the right to interefere with that in my book. to me that is bullying. Unfortunately not everybody is as lucky as us in the Western world but they are deserving too. Nobody should be without employment. And above all employers should be honest with their employees. Sadly many arent. You are not alone in Your views
kevin

Okay, well, just to harp on you a bit more...NO EVERYONE IS NOT *ENTITLED* TO A JOB!! You have to earn the damn job through convincing your employer through a job interview that you are the best candidate for said job. THEN you have to bust your ass daily to show your employer that they HIRED the best candidate for the job. You can't just get hired, sleep through your shift go home and get paid. Then whine because they let you go just because you feel entitled. i'm sorry that's ridiculous.

i work with someone who, quite frankly, seems to share the same work ethics as you. She shows up about 30 minutes to an hour late. Does her med pass, signs her MARs and goes home about an hour early. Now, since that'sher grueling day, let me tell you about my day since i come in right after her and work the same building she does: i check all the MARs to make sure that nothing has expired/been discontinued...i remove all meds that qualify for either, i go through all the new orders recieved, re-fax them again (for good measure because my pharmacy sucks), i go through all the re-fill slips to make sure all the meds that need refilling are, i order all the supplies, i get appointments made for the guys who i think need them, i do all of the dressing changes that she decided weren't her job to do, i answer questions she didn't feel like answering...when pharmacy arrives i check all the incoming meds (right name, right building, right prescription, right med and how it's supposed to be given), i sign for them and then figure out where the meds all need to go..i do a hell of a lot more but i think you get the point...plus, i never manage to make it home from work before midnight (i'm supposed to get off at 10pm and i live 20 minutes from work). i don't even document my overtime because it's not "approved". So i'm doing all this extra shit for free because she doesn't feel like doing her damn job.

Now, kevin, if you are going to tell me that she is "entitled" to a job the same as i am then, well, i'm totally baffled. Personally, i think she deserves to get fired but that's a whole other issue altogether. Basically, you and her seem to share the same work ethic and i'm sure part of the reason you were canned (besides interpersonal relations) is because you don't pull your weight and everyone else is sick of taking up the slack for you. This is, of course, on top of you being consistently late from your lunch break...

In this economy, NO ONE is entitled to a job. You have to bust your ass even more to show that you deserve to keep that job because there's a million more people out there just standing in line waiting for you to get canned so they can replace you. You have to prove your worth to a company in order for them to keep you. It's not just like "well, we hired him so we can't fire him."

Anyway, that's my little rant..take from it what you will.

wah fucking wah.  Welcome to the real world, kevin.  The world economy is down.  Therefore it is an EMPLOYERS MARKET... THEY can choose who to hire.  Since you've proven that you dont meet the requirements, then quit whining.  this is on YOU.. Had you not displayed that your focus is on your fantasies (even if they did not immediately  recognize what is obvious to all of us HERE), and if you had put some honest effort into DOING THE FUCKING JOB IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER, then ..perhaps.. you wouldnt have trouble finding a job.

suck it up, buttercup.

lobodomslavery -> RE: Should I ask Her if She is a Domme (5/26/2009 10:39:37 AM)

i wasnt consistently late from lunch, just a few times, i also never left work earlier than 5pm having been in at 9 am- in other words i did a standard day like everyone else. And yes i think She deserves to be fired. im baffled She isnt. its because of people like Her that people like me get fired. Employers think we have enough dossers with us already, he could turn into a dosser , we wont take the chance, which is prejudice as far as im concerned
kevin

Kinda embarrassed to share a continent with this guy.

Fitz.. no worries. You have already shown that you are not a crybaby wanker.

purepleasure -> RE: Should I ask Her if She is a Domme (5/26/2009 10:48:51 AM)
