FR:

Well the other threads got deleted.  As I said in one of them, I wasn't a fan.  I liked a few of the Jackson Five songs, but I didn't follow his solo career.  I wonder who is going to get his kids; maybe they will have a normal upbringing now.  I'm betting they will find some sort of drugs when they do the autopsy.  Just like Elvis, I'm sure old ladies will be seeing him having a burger in a Denny's for the next 20 years.

What I'm about to say is actually quite horrible, but I was really looking forward to see him age, to see how his face would morph into previously unknown plastic surgery territories in old age.

You're not the only one.

sometimes i'm shocked by the degree of vileness (not to mention ignorance, but that's a separate issue) found in many of the posters who frequent this section. probably why i try to stay away most of the time.

anyway, Michael Jackson was an amazing, wonderful human being who touched many millions of lives through not simply his music but his charity and compassion. how many of us will be able to say the same when our chapters close? the man will be missed sorely by me and many millions of others. i hope that he is at peace now.

Unfortunately that's not the only thing he touched.

Fast Reply-

I have mixed feelings about his passing, having lived in Santa Barbara County for many years and witnessed the side show of the most recent trial on the evening news.

Lockit -> RE: Michael Jackson taken to the hospital (6/25/2009 4:22:46 PM)

The only person I know of that could touch live's, and um's and still be a hero.  We are not rude or vile to mention it, he was rude and vile to do it and then pay off his debt that could never really be paid until... maybe... now.

If there is a maker to meet... today he meets that maker and it's a done deal.

so you believe everything that comes from the media? read the legal transcripts from some of those trials sometime, most of witness and "victim" testimony makes no sense whatsoever. not to mention that the severe emotional and psychological issues M.J. suffered dramatically stunted his maturity in many ways, including sexually. He desperately wanted to BE a child again, not f*ck one. but that doesn't make a seedy enough tale to hold anyone's interest.

but that is not what any of this is about. the man is dead now. he suffered a tragic stolen childhood and an isolated, too lonely adulthood. let him have some peace now. show some common decency and respect for humanity if nothing else.

Lockit -> RE: Michael Jackson taken to the hospital (6/25/2009 4:35:07 PM)

About the time I respect OJ... I will respect MJ.

I had a umhood stolen, I did not steal others or need to be a um.  No, I wasn't famous and no I wasn't rich and no I didn't grow up like he did... but as far as I am concerned, those are excuses! I will not think... poor MJ...

I shall never respect anyone who is damaged and allows themselves freedom to continue to live damaged rather than healed.  He has no excuse.

June seems to take so many through death. How sad to lose all three of the people within a week. My prayers go to all.

KaineD -> RE: Michael Jackson taken to the hospital (6/25/2009 4:43:21 PM)

Whatever happened to the concept of innocent until proven guilty?

No one here can say for sure that Michael Jackson ever molested anyone.

In anycase, he was an amazing musician. One of the best pop musicians of the 20th Century.

that doesn't exist in this country.

Fast reply here.

Draw a line in the sand, one side will be MJ fans, the other side, MJ haters, maybe a few on the line. But whichever side of the line your on, people are gonna still rave about him and his music. And that is the truly sad fact.

just his victims

Marc2b -> RE: Michael Jackson taken to the hospital (6/25/2009 4:49:16 PM)

I never cared for his music (didn’t hate it, just couldn’t get into it) and the allegations of pedophilia certainly didn’t endear him to me (I was a victim of sexual abuse myself) but I recognize the impact he had on modern music and the fact that he was one messed up dude.  If there is justice in the afterlife I believe that it is a justice that ultimately teaches not eternally condemns (I refuse to believe that God is a sadistic prick).  I hope he finds his healing and his peace.

BLKMADONA -> RE: Michael Jackson taken to the hospital (6/25/2009 4:51:30 PM)

Wowwwwwww is pretty much I can say at this point. Farah and now Micheal..oh yeah, and Ed. This is the time in which we live in. We live to die and die to live-a never ending circle and cycle. Am I sad, yes-but is to be expected. But in the end, we will move forward.......
