I kinda feel sorry for all those young people who denigrate aging & those older than themselves, simply on the basis of aging; given that if one is lucky enough to survive that long, age happens -- wrinkles, grey pubes, all that. Those who engage in this paint themselves into a corner ultimately, or they change their minds -- the choice ultimately becomes between embracing the inevitable aging, or increasingly hating the grey & wrinkled self that one becomes. & that's truly sad, those I've known who steer this path have ended up being tragic figures, whether they're world-famous celebrities or people much closer to my heart . . . . . . & age-ism & attractiveness bias, from either direction, is as unsavory as all the other repellent -isms . . . . .
