Once upon a time, drainage pipes for farm fields were made of clay. Often you could find pieces broken off. The local boy scout troop used to get the pieces, fart into them, and light 'em up.

I don't know... If it's a first time, I'd probably let it go with a warning of sorts, not to be crude in public. My pet belched rather obnoxiously in public once, and didn't excuse himself. That got a rather stern talking to for him, letting him know that he sounded like a barbarian and completely uncouth, crude, crass, rude redneck. Since then, he's been very well behaved. That was public however. If you're talking about the bedroom, well, things happen to the best of people. Just how life is. Like it or not, your sub is only human, and so are you. I'm pretty sure it wasn't on purpose, and really, when all is said and done, it is pretty damn funny. I've been in that situation, on both sides of the gas delivery service... Welcome to life. The body is not always as agreeable as we wish it was.

Years ago hubby and I were hanging out with a few close friends for a weekend. Our hostess was having some intestinal distress. She was flatulating throughout the afternoon, and was extremely embarrassed about it. Her efforts to control her farts gave them a rather musical quality. It got the rest of us to giggling a bit. It was just so cute the way she'd toot, blush, apologize, blush some more... At some point in the evening, the discussion turned to lighting farts on fire. We'd all heard of this, of course, but only one of us had actually seen it done and some were skeptical of some of the stories we'd heard. It was clear that the hostess was uncomfortable with this topic, and it turned out she had good reason to be. The fellows wrangled her up, stripped her down, tied her ass-in-the-air onto the bondage table and got a lighter. They tickled her to induce her to lose control and lit her farts on fire. I don't think that I've ever seen a face so red in my entire life. Even the hostess had to admit that it was a hoot.

Well. .. when I first read the OP, I did not realize who had written it. . . DLS has changed his pic. It was not until later that I realized that it was intended to be as a joke. Too many Kevin threads lately is what I blame it on.
