Nice ;)

I usually cook (and I do cook really well) but the thought of doing the dishes afterwards makes me want to burn down my house and just buy another :D A guy who understands he'll be doing the dishes afterwards and I don't have to ride his ass about it for it to get done...::sigh:: dreamy!

Wow.

A true submissive if i do the dishes? I am the dish bitch.

Well... skills... hmm....

I can read at 500 to 1000 words per minute and have an 85 to 90 percent comprehension rate. Is that a skill? Need some specific phrase out of a book? I am your man.

What else? I am skilled at turning food back into carbon. Does that count?

I thoroughly enjoy stringing together words. The sense of them I leave to you.

Hmm... hmm....

Oh... ask me about things related to science! I am a fiend for such things.

and..... I am skilled at collecting 'junk'.

Like merchants compasses and old school calipers.... old 8-mm video cameras....
I have many many magnifying glasses. I would like to give them to someone one day.

Especially the big ol' fresnel lens which can melt steel using the power of the sun.

*squeals*

Beatboxing? Singing? I can do these as well but... um... I am a terrible judge of myself.
Juggling.... and spinning things on my fingers.

That is all I can think of at the moment that would vaguely qualify as skills.

^_^

Yes skills are always a plus.  ;)
Like I could say oh I'm obedient and want to please you like every other sub or  I could say
I am an excellent seamster and can design and sew various outfits including light leather/suede,  have some silversmithing skills (use to own a jewellery store), computer programming and web design, basic woodworking and carpentry skills, can read tarot cards do astrology charts and use to be a professional detailer at an auto shop not to mention I can type over 60 words a minute among other data entry skills (as is my current profession).
Of course skills are only as useful as they are needed and for the most part I've never really been asked to do any of those things other then making an elvin dress for one Mistress some years ago.

Then again I prefer that a Domme like me for who I am not just my skills, I want a personal connection not a job interview.  So I'll just stick with telling them I'm obedient I guess hehe.

SF I assume you just mean you would like to find someone you can learn things from, and are not specifically looking for a certain skill. I have some of the skills that the Dommes mention, I just never thought they were much to brag about. I also did not want someone to contact me or be interested in me based on my skills. I'm a certified master mechanic....big whoop I'm almost embarassed of that...I took being a grease monkey to the highest level. I really wish I had done more with my life, something that gives back a little. I'm super handy around your house, largely because all the rest of my family is in construction so I grew up doing it before I became a mechanic. Electrical, A/C, sheet rock, painting, doors windows, carpet, tile, plumbing, I never really have to call someone to fix anything at my house. No surprise since I am a mechanic, that I can weld and fabricate, and I'm pretty crafty with designing D/s type stuff for a playspace. But honestly, all these things just seemed like typical "guy qualities" that were nothing to be boasting about. If a Domme I'd never spoken to before, contacted me, because I am a mechanic, I would instantly have my guard up, for fear that she was just wanting to use me.
I'm sort of surprised to read this thread and see a couple Dommes mention that they would like to have a mechanic around. Do you realize we are dirty ALL the time? I shower twice a day but getting the smaller/finer, dirt/grease out of the pores of our hands, and from far up under our nails, even when scrubbing like crazy with a stiff bristled nail brush, is impossible.
I am a typical UN-domesticated bachelor. (Ad-lib here for my shortcomings on what I just mentioned) I hate cooking and cleaning. BUT...if I apply myself at cleaning, I am pretty good at it. Sadly, if I apply myself at cooking, I just waste good food. So as such, since I do not like either, I would be more apt to choose cleaning. There was mention of naked cleaning while a Domme watched, and some play time after the dishes were done. This opens up a whole new avenue for cleaning motivation for me...LOL. In a setting like that, I would probably be happy to clean up.
As to the mention of turning it around, and if a sub would like to find a Domme with certain qualities, I have a different criteria. (Admitting the following with great reservations) I am just happy if a Domme has her own life. If she is about something. I hate people who have nothing going on, and are just sort of letting life pass them by. I don't care if someone is a charity worker, or a CEO of a large company. I just want them to have some direction and have their own goals in life.

I really like all these posts. It's good to see how unique each person is. I think for a lot of Dommes, we're so inundated with subs that don't initally stand out. They're all saying/offering the same things and it's hard to to say (for me at least) "OK, why this guy and not that guy" based on anything other then looks if they're not telling me what makes them in particular stand out. It takes a lot of work on my part to email each one of them back and start the sorting process and I find that I've just sort of given up with all except the few that have impressed me right out the gate. It's not that I don't WANT to get to know people but I *am* a busy woman and when it comes to subs...or people in general...I gravitate towards those that will make my life less complicated vs. more complicated.

I think StoneFox said earlier that it was a martial art, Pyro.  Can't remember which one, but I'm guessing not sumo-wrestling.

LOL.

No, I'm not a contortionist but I am quite flexible. As Peon said and I think I mentioned ages ago, I have done martial arts in the past. It was a wado ryu karate, tae kwon do, American freestyle kickboxing, and yes...even boring tai chi (last one not my choice).

Tai Chi is not boring. To me at least.

I'm the type of person that wants to learn everything but utterly fails because there is only one me and so much time.

My Dominant Lady would have to have quite the skill set as well. Being a ninja would be a plus.

Suddenly it feels like I need to go on a journey to become awesome and discover my potential by offering my self to the ladies of CollarMe.

Compared to Tae Kwon Do  (i am a red belt) Tai Chi is extremely boring, sorry pyro. This sub can make a computer from an empty case, fix your car, make chocolates that nobody else has ever tasted (dark chocolate with Irish cream pudding centers), refinish your wood floor, and make a Chamborde cheesecake all in one day.

None of the guys I've dated have complained about my calling anything yummy, especially *them*. If I were going to say it that frequently though, I know synonyms - scrumptious, delicious, delectable, etc. If I were dating a submissive man who did hassle me over it, I'd be tempted to assign him to write sentences. "I will not complain about Anda saying 'yummy'." 100 times on a chalkboard or with pen and paper sounds about right. *giggling*

No no buddy, NOT eating Her chocolates is a skill, eating them is a death wish.

And another thing, dont use the line "I was only eating them as you are slimming Mistress." Trust me, that doesnt work for some reason

MG, if someone was eating my chocolates as a way of telling me I need to go on a DIET..? That would go over horribly! lol. It's not even a good idea to intimate vanilla partners are getting chunky, much less one's Domina ;P

Dont worry Ma`am, I`m not as stupid as I look, well not on Tuesdays anyway

As for skills, which is more important, being an expert in one thing, such as cooking, or knowing the basics of several different skills.

Is making her laugh a skill, or knowing when to shut up, its certainly useful !

Ms. Mlicious needs a lot of skilled labor for her house.  I am not too skilled, but I have organized work crews for her.  And I am strong, so I am able to rip up carpets, do a lot of cleaning, and I can haul stuff for her.  I'm no gourmet, but I am a pretty good cook.  The lady has a few guys now who have practical skills.
