OP, your profile reads like total horny net geek material, all kink & nothing else . ... . . That's a red flag for me . . ....

There is the issue that the only labels CM offers kinda 'force' people to put themselves into particular boxes that carry a lot of expectations, assumptions, baggage, & so on . . . . .. Frankly, my experience is a lot of people who think they're 'submissive' are as much or more so 'bottoms', some might even be 'dominant bottoms', lol . .. ... Or they might be better described as 'fetishists' or 'kinksters' . . . ... So, OP, you can be forgiven your confusion as far as this applies to your situation . . . . . .

& really, was there ever some time when one could somehow consistently & reliably shop for a compliant submissive with no or few desires of their own? Cuz that sounds like a load of nostalgic hooey . . . ..

Submissives and slaves are humans, first and formost, just like Dominants. I would think a lot of subs would have no problems "laying their cards on the table," by being open about what they expect and are looking for.

Or is knowing who you are, and what you need a trait only Dominants should foster?

Still fucking amused on this end. Prudes in BDSM crack me up no end. & guess what, it's okay to swear around the kinky fetish site with all the porn ads everywhere, lol . . . .

So far all I see is someone who used the Cap Lock Key when people question their intentions on a post.
