Greetings DomKen, I suggest you read the link you provided and do a little further research before you claim that it is all based on the timeline of Ussher. In the link that you provided there is a number of other people who have created a timeline similar to the one written down by Ussher. "Ussher's proposed date of 4004 BC differed little from other Biblically-based estimates, such as those of Bede (3952 BC), Ussher's near-contemporary, Scaliger (3949 BC), Johannes Kepler (3992BC) or Sir Isaac Newton (c. 4000 BC)." If you looked up Bebe, Scaliger and Kepler you would find out that all three had done their timelines before Ussher. Ussher's timeline was done in the 17th century from the old testament, as the title of his work suggests, Annales veteris testamenti, a prima mundi origine deducti (Annals of the Old Testament, deduced from the first origins of the world). Considering that the old testament finds its origins in the Torah and the Tanakh from which the Hebrew Calender is taken and by comparing the ages of Ussher's timeline and that of the others I have mentioned to the Hebrew Calender, it is quite possible to say that the timeline of Ussher and the others, while they may vary to a slight degree, all have strong roots on the timeline of the Jewish people and the Hebrew Calender. The current year in the Hebrew calender is 5769. I hope you enjoy researching this topic further and thank you for mentioning the Ussher timeline, it makes for an interesting topic th research. estah P.S. Another point mentioned in your link DomKen is the following quote... The chronology is sometimes associated with Young Earth Creationism, which holds that the universe was created only a few millennia ago. Please note that it is only 'sometimes associated' which does not mean that the idea is based on the timeline of Ussher.
