I've read some of the responses, but here's my take.

I can see it as a guy trying to get into a girl's pants under the guise of being a protector, or actually watching out for the person in question. Newbies stepping into a club for the first time cannot always depend on the staff or even the OWNER of the club to watch out for their well being (let alone not take advantage of them..).

Personally, I prefer the term confiDom (: And of course you can always have a confisub, as well.

I am not sure is you have understood the issue discussed. It does not assume the protection of a collar....... that is automatic. It discusses the issue of uncollared ,probably newcomers, that carry a sign under the protection of...........

I am not sure about the "protocol" of the term but honestly you either are or aren't working on a relationship so i don't understand the terms "under protection or under consideration". maybe it is an online thing?

If they make such bad decisions or are so naive then I would think they need to grow up and mature more and learn to make better decisions for themselves before putting themselves in a potentially dangerous situation in a place like this.

Speaking of which I noticed just such an profile earlier tonight with the words 'this girl is now my student and I am screening her messages. show respect or you will have to deal with ME. and I don't play well with others' Now am I the only one that sees something a little exploitive about that comment...?

I think you misunderstood what I meant by that comment. I was not trying to imply that the girl in question was not competent to make decisions. I was trying to say that while her intention was to find someone to look out for her, that was not what the guy in question was actually doing, as is quite evident by the quote I included. In short, she is being taken advantage of by a person who is claiming to be looking out for her best interests, yet clearly states right afterwards that that is not his real intention.

What "girl in question"? You replied to a "generally" comment. Wasn't your response meant "generally" as well?
