Urmel claimed now the second bed in my bedroom to be for him  though when my darling F is here he has to share it

But seriously, its cute to see how he regularly lies there...no matter what I place onto it for the time being (as I am currently decluttering my flat big time) he still ensures that there is still a spot left for him

Angel has decided she wants to take up meditation. Whenever I go sit in my chair to meditate, she jumps up on my chest, puts her cheek against my chin, and lies their completely still for the duration of my meditation. Meditating with a 13 1/2 lb. cat on my chest took some getting used to, but she is so completely still that she doesn't disrupt me.

I hope you all are aware that the cats in your homes are aliens, and what they are doing all the time is plotting to take over the world and make humans worship them. I saw the proof on Futurama.

I just changed the litterbox, (how kinky and subbie of me!) For some reason this act has set off a stage 10 fiesta time, and they are crashing around the house and smashing into things.

Thank you!

We think he might be a little.... special....

He likes to sit in the corner, facing the wall, and meow to himself.

He also gets hiccups, which scare him.

Angelina's ashes came home yesterday. My daughter chose a beautiful (read expensive) pink marble urn. Unfortunately, they made a spelling mistake on the plaque, which they will replace next week.

In other news, my house has been so dreadfully quiet and empty since everyone went back to school, that I have started spending time almost every day at the SPCA. I have found the new members of our family, just need to deal with paperwork and money. Two beautiful girls, 5 months and 1year. I cant wait to bring them home.

Thanks

It is interesting how each kitty has their own special talents. Misty's is the ability to do naughty things on occasion and have the other cat get blamed for it. Angel's is the ability to lie perfectly motionless for extended periods of time.

I was doing laundry today, carrying loads from the bedroom to the laundry room. This of course meant that the kitties suddenly felt the need to awaken from their naps and dart in front of me at every opportunity. There's something about me carrying large armloads of things that compels them to do this.

Boozy, I saw pics on FB....are they the new furbabies? Very pretty. What are their names?

I actually had the table to myself, until I pulled out the keyboard to play. All of a sudden, I have 20 pound Squeaks sitting between me an the monitor. I can't seem to make them understand they make better doors than they do windows. Now she's sticking her paw into my box of junior mints.......I can't believe her sweet tooth!

LadyPact, when I first brought Viktor home he was frightened of everything. I bought one of those "feather on a stick" type toys and it scared the living crap out of him. These days, though, he'd just try to eat it.

Right now he's sitting on my lap and grooming.

Yesterday, Binx caught a bird. Lizard did not know it until she started petting her. Minor fuss ensued.

Right now, Binx is starving for attention...

Wench got roped into playing piano at the local church...So she has been practising. This resulted in first major panic from the kittens followed by attempts at a sing along and then running up and down the keys, sitting on the music and generally getting in the way....

I dropped a wine bottle opener right on Viktor's head tonight, right on the forehead. I didn't mean to - I had pricked myself with it pretty sharply and in a reflex to that I dropped it, and of course he was right at my feet, looking up..

It's metal and kind of heavy and it flattened him. He crouched really low and ran out of the kitchen, terrified. Ugh. I scooped him up and held him close and cooed at him and apologized until he relaxed and started purring again. He was afraid to go back into the kitchen so I put a little kitty treat right on the spot where we was when he got bonked, and he cautiously stepped there and enjoyed it.

Sheesh. I felt so guilty.

Now he's curled up in my lap with his face tucked in between his paws, purring.

Jade is currently trying to hide from me. Part of his rehabilitation is getting him to eat on his own without forcing him. The appetite stimluant is in a "goo" type form which he *hates* It's thick and heavy and sticky...meaning every time I get a few globs in his mouth, he spits half of it out and it gets everywhere.
I'm supposed to feed him 1 1/2 tsp of this shit 3x a day and I can't even get 1/2 in him atm.
Between that, trying to get him to eat the prescription cat food (which he LOVES once he has an apetite), watching him struggle with the litter box (major difficulties considering the broken thigh), getting fluids into him through the I,V. This is an all day every day thing right now and I'm tired and frustrated and I wish I had some help.
My vet has all but completely given up ("Oh he's an old cat, he;s lived such a long life, my reccomendation would have been to euthanize") The emergency vet was a jackass.
*sigh*

Kitty needs to get better.

Instead of lying in the middle of the street like and making the cars go around him like he normally does, my former foster kitty Dusty tried something different tonight. As I was driving home, he meandered leisurely into the street, forcing me to apply the brakes. I honked at him to try to drive some sense into him, but he looked at me condescendingly as if to say, "How dare you!", then proceeded to meander across the rest of the street at the same leisurely pace. I have no idea how that cat has stayed alive for four years with these antics.
