LadyHibiscus -> RE: BOIZ, LEMME TELL YOU HOW IT'S DONE....THAT TIRED OLD TOPIC, "TRIBUTE"..... (8/14/2009 8:33:24 PM)

I have friends who only date much younger men...  and I will never be one of those women!  After a lifetime of dating much OLDER men, I am down to dating men in my own age group!  I DO give myself CougarPoints(tm) for anyone I date that is under 40.  In another ten years, who knows!  I might make it to 30 yr olds! [:D]

For any naysayer still around, I wanted to point most men find strength in financial security. It's why they hold on tightly to every little penny. So wouldn't one reason that a responsible situation where a man gives up control of his financial state toward the woman he serves, wouldn't that be "more" submissive than the guy who doesn't?

Just a thought to put out there....

I can certainly see where that might work for some people, and if it does, then that's great. Honestly, I think each person and/or couple should function in a way that works for them, but for me personally, the thought of "giving up control of my financial state" just doesn't seem like a very sensible thing to do. Gifting someone is completely different, and should be done out of love, not because, as a submissive, it is seen as the "thing to do".

That's the main problem I had with the OP. Not that her submissive buys her nice things or that she enjoys those nice things - it's wonderful that they have found a dynamic that works for them and makes them both so happy - but it was the sweeping statement that *that* is how things must be done. That *that* was what made a man a good submissive. Everyone is different, and generalisations like that just really rub me the wrong way.

That's a mild mannered way of expressing common sense.

BTW, the OP was being a little over the top, and she's not one to advocate a one-size-fits-all "how things must be done."

Of course if you can play the Cadillac sub card, that's the ace of spades in the deck.....

Ya think? Really?

Sorry, I have yet to ask *anybody* about their financial condition as something I need to evaluate before I decide to allow someone a place in my life. Not practical of me, perhaps...

Not only are they the cheapest, but I've found that they are the ones with the worst manners:  arrogant, argumentative, and inconsiderate.

Really wealthy women are sometimes, equally as cheap......just saying.

LadyJulieAnn -> RE: BOIZ, LEMME TELL YOU HOW IT'S DONE....THAT TIRED OLD TOPIC, "TRIBUTE"..... (8/15/2009 1:11:24 PM)

And there are plenty of wealthy men and women who are none of those things.

Well I suppose if I met a women who I trusted enough to take care of my finances that would work, but I haven't met her yet. That said I have no problems buying gifts for my partner, in fact I love it. However I don't see the number of gifts or the cost of them as a factor in how much she means to me. Would it be nice to spread out 5 new floggers for my lady, hell yes it would. But reality sets in and she would probibly be pissed when she found out that now we don't have money to eat. I can understand the OP being happy with her boy and wanting to share what he did for him. But I can also understand those who felt she was putting down anyone who could not afford to do the same. From her previous posts I am sure that was not her intention, but I still see how others saw it that way.

And soda, don't worry, there are a lot of women out there who would be very happy with a chocolate bar and long as it is given with a sincere heart.

I find it interesting the two women who whine and complain most about men are now complaining about men with money, I strongly suspect its because they have no money or the qualifications to amass it and at their advanced ages most likely never will. Not even if they find a john.

And I strongly suspect you are talking out of your uniformed, ignorant, ass. I could be wrong, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I strongly suspect not.

Interesting thoughts you have there.  I seem to recall your bragging in an earlier post about how you had given a condo in the Caribbean to your secretary.  That would imply a certain level of material assets on your part; if that's the case, your comments above simply lend credence to my general experience that wealthy men really don't have much to offer.

Edited to add:  As far as having no qualifications for making money, I'm starting the foundations of my own business after I move back to the UK.  But, then, I only hold a master's degree and got to the dissertation stage of my Ph.D., so I'm obviously a complete idiot with no skills.  The other person to whom you referred already owns her own business.

StoneFox -> RE: BOIZ, LEMME TELL YOU HOW IT'S DONE....THAT TIRED OLD TOPIC, "TRIBUTE"..... (8/15/2009 2:30:14 PM)

I've been reading your posts here in this thread and I have to say...what makes you think it's cool to be an asshole? Are you TRYING to show what a classless prick you are? Really, what makes you better then them?

Just because their opinions are different from yours it doesn't mean you have to attack people with wild and ridiculous claims against them.

I look at people like pyroaquatic and VIK and have to say I really like how they've changed their tone. I can admire people who have agreed to disagree and even apologized and given up ground to concede to the equally valid points of others.

You owe those ladies an apology. There's no excuse for saying the things you did.
