My guess- is that the guard was only doing her assigned job description. Your beef is with the company that SET this policy. Most likely you were in an off limits portion of the store/office. Maybe the mens room would be good to make a call.

on a side note, and in no way intended to feed the fodder.... there are alot of companies that prohibit the use of cellphones inside their buildings. hospitals and government buildings come to mind first.

They spell this out - in the rules- that all employees sign they received.
