Personally, I like Bette Midler's view.

When asked about her younger years, she replied (not an exact quote) that when she was in school, she was often called a slut.

She said (I love this): "I prefer to say I was POP-U-LAAR!!"

If someone where to walk up to My girl in the street and call her a slut, they better have alread called for the ambulance that they are going to need shortly there after..... that isn't Me being over protective, My girl is a feisty gal and is likely to rip them a new fundamental orafice!

On the other hand if *I* took her by the hair pulled her to Me saying "Come here My sweet little slut" I'd have a rather horny girl on My hands. Because from Me to her, there is no negativity. There is nothing wrong with My girl being slutty for her Master, she enjoys it, she enjoys pleasing Me and even the word, from MY lips gets her wet.

It is a matter of context.... like anything else. On its own it is just a word, how it is used can change the message it carrys.

I would have to agree with this,

From my point of view there is a big difference in a stranger calling me a slut, meaning it in the traditional sense of a woman that will sleep with anyone, and my Dom calling me his slut, or me acting in a mannar which is sluttish for him.

Applys to many other four letter words too.

Some seeing being called a slut in this lifestyle a good thing.  It is just a question of semantics.  I don't mind being called

Considering the words; slut, bitch, whore and cunt - these are powerful words. Many people find that using them allows the one being called by these names to get over the shame that normally occurs. Others enjoy being shamed by use of this. And then there are people like me, and apparently you,  who cannot handle humiliation and degradation.

If for whatever reason, you can't tolerate being called this then just be matter of fact about it. But expect people to ask why. If the reason is related to severe, early abuse you can just tell them that you aren't able to talk about it yet. Anyone who won't drop the subject at that point is someone you don't want to be with.

I don't do duct tape gags because I get panic attacks at the threat of it. I don't do inverted suspension because of hypertension and vertigo. I don't do humiliation because it poisons my relationship with him. Stuff that I can't handle physically or emotionally we don't do.  But there's lots of stuff we still can do. So we don't fixate on the things that either he or I limit, we focus on all the good stuff we enjoy.

Daddy calls me a slut, bitch, cunt, whore, etc because He knows how much hearing those words excite me and it's said in a loving manner between us.  if it was anyone else calling me those names, then we would have one serious problem because it was said out of anger.

I am not a slut. If I am with someone, I might be *his* slut. I am not with anyone right now, so at best I am.. sexually liberated. There is also a huge difference between what is said in the context of a scene/sexual encounter and what is said in a non-sexual/non-sensual context.

If another woman called me a slut, I would probably have to restrain myself from slapping her. If a man who had no claim on me called me slut, he probably WOULD get slapped.

So.. yeah.

Slut is defined (per Websters) as a promiscuous woman...don't know why. I prefer promiscuous person. I have never used and don't like to use 'slut' as pejorative. It has however come up in the heat of engagement and some partners actually enjoy this. Some women I have met have described themselves as a huge slut.

I have been called a Dr. Pepper slut..all of which similar uses...are benign. But for the real meaning...if there are ANY sluts...we are ALL sluts.

i for one am very proud to be a slut. and yes, i mean "a" slut, not simply my Master's slut. i've always been "easy", loose, promiscuous, completely indsiscriminate about sexual partners, etc...the traditional definition of slut. in high school and college i had quite a nasty reputation because of it. however i was never sexually forward, seductive, aggressive, never "owned" my sexuality, or anything of the sort. i just didn't say no. a boy or man would make sexual advances towards me, and the submissive in me simply gave in, always. not only did i not say no, but it quickly became known that i did things that other girls simply didn't do (supposedly). that was because i would do whatever it took to please someone who wished to use my body. that too was something i could not help. for many years i hated being a slut, hated that part of my nature and wish that it could change. i was sure that no man could ever want me (and was told as much by many men) for anything other than a cheap, good time. i thought i would be alone and miserable forever.

fortunately for me, i found a Master who has an insatiable fondness for submissive sluts...he'd fantasized about owning such a woman for most of his life. He showed me the value in being a slut...how sluts provide a necessary service to men, and how without sluts the world would just be a miserable place. so now i am proud to be called slut by anyone, even if they do not intend it as a compliment. i know that it is. :)

I've been a "slut" for one, and will gladly and totally give myself up to be a slut for my Sir...when the time comes. I agree with the other ladies on here that are totally turned on by the naughty/primitive/dirty factor. Just hearing that word at the right moment ramps everything up. Yum.

However, gods help the random man that mails me calling me slut, whore, or cunt. Just...gods help him. I really do hold the power of those words for the care of whoever Takes me, not for some crass jerk I don't even know.

Do not prefer being called slut either - same thoughts of the past meaning of slut from high school and college as others have said. Loved that it was defined as a promiscuous woman... that bringd out more thoughts of the word.
