Bush passed a Medicare reform bill that guaranteed that the government would pay full price for prescription drugs to the pharmaceutical companies. Instead of using the huge purchasing power to negotiate more reasonable prices, it was assured that the pharmaceuticals could ask what they wanted and we'd pay it. We don't want that nasty socialism of making sure that the people get any bang for their buck, do we?

While a prescription bill was passed, I don't think we can fairly call that "Health Care Reform" in the sense of the current proposals.

Not only that, they did not fulfill any of their "Contract with America" while in power.
