God, I love the way you can make EVERYTHING the fault of folks on the right.  Tell me rule...who IS Keith's market?  The same folks who listen to Rush?  Or is it those on the left?

Well, I won't even address your first sentence other than to say you introduced Olbermann into a discussion on Limbaugh's NFL bid.

As for the rest, you've missed my point entirely.

Limbaugh started the market for this type of tabloid broadcasting and Uncle Rupert jumped on the bandwagon with Fox News.

While I don't support what goes on at MSNBC either, Rush and Murdoch paved the way.

Rush does perform one extremely important service.

He keeps the attention of rabid left-leaners focused on him. Doesn't stop them, but at least diverts some of their attention from totally fucking up the country.

I don't care much for the right-wingers either, but at least they don't tend to whine as much.

Heh that’s an idea...we could use Rodan as a wide out and Godzilla as a middle linebacker...bet they could find the costumes at Wal-Mart...oooohhhh bet that will scare Jacksonville this Sunday...I'll pass your idea along to the proper authorities.

Butch

ps... rugby players always get it backwards anyway... fingers are for playing in butts...thumbs are for sucking and it is quite gross when they use their thumbs for both

mnottertail -> RE: Sharpton has asked the NFL to nix Limbaugh's purchase of the Rams (10/16/2009 9:09:51 AM)

There are a vast number of Wal-Mart republicans out there it is rumored, they could band together and get a deal on costumes.........no, wait a minute, that's socialism.

Looks like we are going to need some liberals to get this to work.

Ron

Well we know one who hasn't been listening to Rush recently.....

mnottertail -> RE: Sharpton has asked the NFL to nix Limbaugh's purchase of the Rams (10/16/2009 9:11:34 AM)

now mike, it has to be right that they don't whine, why no more than a year ago, there were several threads on some well researched polling that showed that conservatives were deleriously happy compared to liberals...............

StrangerThan -> RE: Sharpton has asked the NFL to nix Limbaugh's purchase of the Rams (10/16/2009 9:12:10 AM)

right on that one. I get more 'rush' from these boards than I do from the radio.

It is both enlightening and a bit funny to watch though.

slvemike4u -> RE: Sharpton has asked the NFL to nix Limbaugh's purchase of the Rams (10/16/2009 9:16:29 AM)

Stranger you'll get no argument from me....I think the whole thing has been a "hoot and a holler"......Rush as a "victim"...it doesn't get any better than that.

MasterCord -> RE: Sharpton has asked the NFL to nix Limbaugh's purchase of the Rams (10/16/2009 9:18:44 AM)

Just amazing.........

slvemike4u -> RE: Sharpton has asked the NFL to nix Limbaugh's purchase of the Rams (10/16/2009 9:19:43 AM)

Yep it certainly is....

mnottertail -> RE: Sharpton has asked the NFL to nix Limbaugh's purchase of the Rams (10/16/2009 9:21:19 AM)

conservative principles seem to be well stated when it comes to buying a franchise in the NFL, but not so hot on healthcare or any other reforms, why do you spose that is?

Ron, money? I'm for healthcare reform and I'm neither Dem nor Rep.

Au contrair Ron.....I believe their principals are well stated on health care....whatevers good for the Insurance industry is good for the GOP( or at least for the coffers of our re-election committees....the little guy not so much)

No. It's beat Obama at any cost, and if he's for health care reform, we must oppose it.

Well OK...and what you said. They certainly did nothing about it when they were in power.

That's not true MM. Bush passed a Medicare reform bill that guaranteed that the government would pay full price for prescription drugs to the pharmaceutical companies. Instead of using the huge purchasing power to negotiate more reasonable prices, it was assured that the pharmaceuticals could ask what they wanted and we'd pay it. We don't want that nasty socialism of making sure that the people get any bang for their buck, do we?

Musicmystery -> RE: Sharpton has asked the NFL to nix Limbaugh's purchase of the Rams (10/16/2009 3:55:53 PM)

While a prescription bill was passed, I don't think we can fairly call that "Health Care Reform" in the sense of the current proposals.

OrionTheWolf -> RE: Sharpton has asked the NFL to nix Limbaugh's purchase of the Rams (10/16/2009 4:05:18 PM)

Not only that, they did not fulfill any of their "Contract with America" while in power. Now we will see how things go with the Dems in control, but I have not been very impressed with any real change so far.

I have not a single regret. The best candidate won. I'm also willing to see what the country is like in '12 when it's time to make that choice again.
