and that does not automatically make you wards of the state, there is a bargaining going on that is not one sided. you by example will not be left with a little giant from combined insurance, and don't even play like you will. now if they can save money, sure they can switch to anyone, and who says that a government run healthcare option is going to be the cheapest? my understanding is that they were going to use private insurers to pool for these things, and underwrite it some like they did the toxic assets. I understand your reticence to change from exactly what you have today, but nevertheless (even if there is no reform) at bargaining time, it will change anyhow. but now these things should be discussed, and there are far more loquacious and persuasive people with alot more acumen in this than me out here and throughout our country. But there are more people in trouble healthcare wise in this country than is good for our country, and we must correct that. I am not going to lambast you any further, use, but at the core of your argument is the implied premise that you (as a class of folks) might be paying too much for your healthcare, otherwise you would be happy for more options.
