Status: offline 		I understand the use of labels and even the need for them on a very basic level. However, nothing replaces communicating with people, getting to know others, and making bonds. If I am not interested enough in a person to do that then I do not see much point as giving myself a label for them.

Yes, I know. I had a point there, but perhaps I was far too subtle. Labeling a person does not help you get to know them. You need to learn how to converse, person to person.

so all this argument aside if no one self identifys with my labels i'm wasteing my time and it is my time to waste

Status: offline 		Umm, we just had a discussion about this over in General BDSM, suggesting that people use "minion," "peon," and other terms. Of course, he'd still search for women who are in the "submissive" and "slave" categories here, since those include all s-oriented folks as well as bottoms, masochists, and so forth. Sure, he's using an adjective as a noun, but we do that with "submissive" as well, no big deal. My interpretation of the term is that it would imply that the focus is on obedience and service over mindset. Back when I was dating, I could have chosen to be in that kind of relationship with someone, even if I didn't react to them submissively, if we were compatible in most BDSM and vanilla contexts. If I didn't react to someone on a D/s or M/s level, it would have been a lie to claim to be their submissive or slave, even if I enjoyed bottoming to, serving, and obeying him.

i like the monastical concept of a " calling ", being obedient is what she is called to do even in those times she would rather not

which is a paradox. in order to cede control and serve in the capacity as a slave one must be willing to be obedient to the Owner. it is commonplace for obedience to be one of the motivating factors that influence her desire to serve. she isn't a slave because she affixed the label to herself, but simply because she yields and does so even when she may wish to behave otherwise. His will exceeds her own.

now whether you elect to term that obedient or not is a mystery. as a matter of fact many of the slaves i converse with see their slavery in the manner you just described. i refer to it as my zen, another calls it her vocation. we both have an innate need to be obedient to our Owners.

fuck it, how about slave or submissive or something a little more brief and work out the details of it by conversation with your prospects?

Status: offline 		i really dislike the term slave, because it has no common definition, no legal standing, and there are too bloody many calling themselves slaves cause they wanna be one of the cool girls

and before i waste a lot of my time, their time i want it understood what i expect

i dislike the terms scene, play, bdsm, i dont like to punish as i see that as a failure on both parts, hers and mine. if i want ti hit her i'll hit her because i want to and it's my right

i dislike the term power to control. it,s my right to control no power needed, i dont like power strugles, i'm not out to conquor. if her attitude is she wants a dom to subdue her, im not for her.

my vision is that we are what we say we are all the times, sometimes more intencely so than other times but it's always there.

i dont like makeing a game out of it, i dont really like floggers and a toy bag bigger than i am.

i dont like a bunch of rules, few and simple, and strictly enforced.

i dislike misscomunication and confusion, if there's a question she is always free to ask, there is no penalty for asking.

and i fking hate gor
