Being male doesn't qualify you as a man either - obviously. Nor does it qualify you as an expert on ... pretty much anything - even "male issues" or however you phrased it earlier.

However, scientifically, I would guess that Jen's brain patterns and connections more match a males than mine - therefore, she would have a better understanding of "male issues" (even without a flesh-and-blood penis) than I would (and a better understanding of them that you seem to think). I would also venture to guess that I know more than a few males who's brain patterns match mine more than yours - thus they would have a better understanding of "female issues" than most people would think.

It's all relative, and isn't defined by chromosomes alone. Pick up a scientific magazine or two and educate yourself.

Boijen may not be male, but is more of a man than most humans with fleshy penises I've met.

Er . . . is that a compliment or an insult - and to men, or to boijen?  Just asking.

And you get to personally define what is male and what is female, based on your cultural, religious or personal ideas?  In the leather community, that's a huge fail right there.  If you have no respect for people's gender identities, and frankly it's clear that you have no respect for anyone at all, you're going to have serious problems here.  Gender identity doesn't always match external plumbing, and it's only dumb hicks who don't get that.

Go back to your redneck church social group or wherever else you can find people who think just like you do, and good luck finding a kinky partner there.  Bigots who disrespect the GLBT spectrum are not going to be popular in the leather community.

I love how all the women rush to the defense of the other women. Err I mean Boi .

Bottom line . you can shoot all the testosterone you want, shave your head, walk around in Brett Favre wrangler jeans , your still female.

Oh and sweetdomme ...

"Pick up a scientific magazine or two and educate yourself." --- That was great comic relief .

It doesn't have a damn thing to do with gender.  It has to do with what a devoted, dedicated s type boijen really is.  Something that boi could teach a lot of grown men.

How about some unsolicited advice, one guy to another.

Be careful about slinging these types of thoughts around. They do not seem compatible with what you state in your profile.

SweetDommes -> RE: Guys and strapons....a rant (10/29/2009 1:11:36 PM)

To be perfectly honest, I don't particularly care for Jen - however, I do have respect for her for a number of reasons. Far more respect than I do for someone who is blatently and willfully ignorant of many scientific discoveries/advances in the last few decades. Such as finding that male and female brains are wired differently ... but it's not the chromosomes that make them different.

I repeat - educate yourself, playboy22.

Your perceptions are narrowed by the frame of your cultural expectations.  In short, you're a hick.  Also, an ass.  You'd have gotten the same response if you were spewing your stupid about a MTF.  Doesn't matter if it's a transman or a transwoman or a genderbent individual with either set of plumbing you're insulting.  It still makes you a dumb redneck who belongs at a monster truck rally in suspenders, not in the leather community.

Gender is a much more complex issue than vaginas and penises.  In about a quarter to a half percent of the population, the brain wiring and the external plumbing doesn't match.  This isn't something they choose or decide on.  It's a medical, hormonal and developmental condition as well as a psychological one.   Men can be born in women's bodies and vice versa, and their sense of self and gender is mediated by the brain rather than external genitalia.

Your response to the science of the thing certainly is.  It's always entertaining to see illiterate people sneer at the notion that they might actually learn something from reading.  You go off and hunt some possums or something, and maybe one of your literate sisters will read to you someday.  Especially if you ever get around to marrying her.

I wonder when XI is gonna step in on the personal attacks here...then again I'm not on the favorites list. Though, I will say the gender discussion is proving to me that more people are a little more educated in one way and some are not in another, more than I thought was true.

I must say, boijen, that I kind of do see your name at the beginning of a thread and think "Ah. Another 'Aren't Men Awful?' discussion.  Move right on".  I don't associate myself with those men who you're criticising, so the thread doesn't seem relevant to me.

But regards your comment above: I agree with you.  We're now right, slap, bang in the territory of what 'real men' and 'real women' are, and what they're supposed to know and not to know.  It's crap, and demeaning to all of us.

Tape this to one eyelid:

In order to have an enemy, one must be somebody. One must be a force before he can be resisted by another force. A malicious enemy is better than a clumsy friend.

and this to the other:

You have enemies ? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.

I don't think men are awful, I think I'm biased mostly because of the men I choose to keep close to me are of the A+ types. And that's not always easy to be in. I strive for that though, which means more often than not, I am in the A+ category. I just want people like that in my life...when I have my fill of the less than I bitch a bit and then get quiet.

See? I don't hate men.

If you've taken a look at some of the threads in the other sections this week, My thought is that Eleven is a very busy woman lately.

Totally understandable. How often do you run into A+ women?

Isn't this what he did?

Surely you don't believe that someone is stupid because of their proximity to a city's geopolitical line on a map?

I tend to assume they're all A+ till I find out otherwise.  But, then, I never did know much about cup sizes.

No.  I have in the past very much enjoyed country living with all it entails. A hick isn't someone who lives in the country, it's someone who thinks in simplistic, uneducated, backwards terms and is unwilling to even try to get an education.  It's where you live mentally, not physically, that counts.
