Seems even GOP members of congress are asking their leaders Hey where is the bill you preached about????

http://thinkprogress.org/2009/10/27/gop-frustrated-health-care/

Maybe because they never had one and they do not intend to cut off the money they receive from the insurance industry.

Of course.

This has never been about reforming the health insurance industry to the GOP. All of this is just a show, to help bring public opinion against Obama. They want him to fail, and thus they want the US to fail. They want this for a very simple reason: the only way they'll ever get back into power is if they torpedo the US into a situation that is evern worse than that George Bush left it in. Then, they assume, they will get back into office, and the good times of sucking the life out of the US economy can begin again.

The GOP: vampires of the US.

They are awaiting the delivery of their plan.....as soon as Health Insurance Executives put it together the GOP will unviel it.

Not to mention the dozens if not hundreds of amendments to the Senate and House bills attempted to be introduced by R's that have been blocked from consideration in committee.

You mean like the deals the Dems made with big pharma and the AMA to get their support for "reform"?

A vague bit of nonsense with no practical solutions.

lol... merely offering up what was asked for, rule. someone asked where it was... and i showed em.

Listening to Boehner<sp> this morning on CNN's State of the Union they have a bunch of pieces and no comprehensive form to follow, I was not impressed. I was also amazed to hear so much coverage of the NY special election for the house seat of Dee-Dee Scozofava<sp> and how the Republicans rolled one of their own right under the bus. From Big tent to no tent unless you adhear to the wisdom of Rush et al.

I know.

Just couldn't help commenting on the content.

Or, in this case, the lack of.

The vague bit of nonsense is CBO scoring of bills that arent specific enough to score. The bills in that link are quite specifc.

Since both Hoffman and Scozzafava are Republicans, exactly how would you not roll one under the bus..that is what the primary/pre-election process is all about....choosing among candidates from the same party.

Hoffman only ran under the C banner after the county Republican pols misjudged the constituency. Scozzafava heard their voice and dropped out for the good of the party and their constituency. Unlike the misguided Colin Powell, the future of the GOP is in embracing conservative principals, not comprimising them in a vain attempt appeal to moderates.

SilverMark -> RE: So where is the GOP health Reform Bill they promised us in June was almost ready??? (11/2/2009 4:45:44 AM)

lol............dropped out for the good old party....while endorsing her Democratic opponent....a lot of unity there!
Palin and Rush both endorsed the Conservative party candidate....plainly put, follow Rush or suffer the consequences!...lol...yes and Michael Steel is the head of the GOP?
Have to love this stuff!

You're absolutely right. The GOP doesn't need to appeal to moderates. I suggest that only the most ideologically pure conservatives be allowed to run for office under the GOP banner.

Well do please mention them.

Did the "R's" come up with some miraculous, breakthrough proposals that would have solved the whole health care issue if the evil "D's" had not blocked them?

Heres 31 of them. Now you'll find some way to dismiss them, once again proving your intellectual dishonesty.

AnimusRex -> RE: So where is the GOP health Reform Bill they promised us in June was almost ready??? (11/2/2009 8:25:33 AM)

I don't know what you all are talking about- the GOP plan was obtained by rep. Alan Grayson and read aloud to the House floor:

1. Do not get sick;
2. If you do get sick, die quickly

Musicmystery -> RE: So where is the GOP health Reform Bill they promised us in June was almost ready??? (11/2/2009 8:39:34 AM)

The GOP plan is, and always has been, to run the clock, knowing delay is their best friend in killing any health care reform and most importantly to them, opposing President Obama no matter what he does.

luckydawg -> RE: So where is the GOP health Reform Bill they promised us in June was almost ready??? (11/2/2009 10:08:44 AM)

Yeah!! We need to elect a majority of Democrats, so we can pass this thing....Because Republicans suck and Democrats rock and have a plan....It's not like the Democrats don't actually support thier own plan...

Perhaps a more useful solution would be if the republicans who are presently in  office made a good faith attempt to work with the democrats in crafting a genuine solution to the problem by offering sincere proposals of their own. Which is pretty much the point of the OP. Granted, it would not be as melodramatic, but it would also be a lot less childish and a lot more practical.

No argument there. I know you intended it to be facetious, but the reality is that's a pretty accurate characterization of the present state of affairs. As the OP clearly demonstrates, the democrats do have a plan and the republicans don't. I'm not saying it's a good one, but at least it's an attempt, and a starting point of sorts. The republicans' entire strategy is simply to block the democrats' plan.

As for whether that means the republicans suck, well - I've got no comment on that. I can't really add anything to what you said on that count.
