I just finished a complete remodel of my house. Foundation work, siding, windows. replace plumbing and wiring, tear out all the old lath & plaster on the inside and replace with drywall, rip up and re-do the floors, replace appliances, etc. It took a year because we had to live in the house while it was being done, moving from room to room and living out of boxes amidst coal dust, plasdter dust, contractors in and out all day long, on and on and on. Trust me, we hardly had time to scratch our nose let alone keep regular contact with even our dearest friends. Now that it is morre or less finished, though, we are ablde to get back to what passed for our former life. Patience girl, 2 months is barely time to write up the estimates when one is re-modeling a house! Dowager Mum Feel free to contact me if you need to hear more about what is involved in a project like that from one who has just come back to daylight from being on the inside. And yes, we were all stressed to the max and very, very cranky the whole timel. not to mention sick most of the time from all the coal dust, plaster dust, insulation dust and oil furnace residue.
