Though 19 is legally an adult it is far from grown up. Maturity is something that comes with age and though she may seem mature around others the truth is she is still very much a kid. Most 19 year olds are. I have a 19 year old sister who is very mature about most things, around most people, however when all is said and done she is still a kid and it shows very much in those times where her maturity is simply lacking, and most 19 year olds have those times. She is pushing you; this is her personality right now. It is a very kid like way to be... 'Let's see how much I can get away with before he puts me over his lap' way to think, I have to admit I went through a similar stage when I was 18, 19ish and first starting to really get into BDSM relationships. Do all fem subs go through this? I doubt it. There is no all or none when it comes to people, but it isn’t uncommon and not really surprising given her age. I am guessing you are new together and that she does have some sort of baby girl complex if she was looking to date a 42 year old. I mean no offence by that it is simply the case more often than not that one so young dating one so much older is looking for the daddy figure, someone to be naughty with and be spanked by. My guess is she wants the spankings and you are reinforcing her bad behavior by giving her what she wants there for instead of making the behavior go away you have simply insured it stays around. Now you can get mad at me if you like but I’m not just pulling things out of my ass. Based on what you said and what I know given my degree in psyche, this is what I think. However I know very little about her and I have never spoken with her so I can't be sure what exactly is going on only that this is what it sounds like to me. Magik

It isn’t ignoring the elephant in the room it is doing the opposite of what feeds the behavior. In fact this is a well know behaviorist tool. Planned ignoring is used a lot to extinguish unwanted behavior. The truth of the matter is, though I do condone him talking to her, is that she may not know WHY she is doing it, she may not even realize she is doing it only that it is something she has always done and has always worked. I once signed up for summer slave camp. Canceled it tho, when I found out there wouldn't be a campfire night with S'mores and sing alongs. Worst of it was: Those damn Dominates wouldn't give me my deposit back. mbmbn

Eerrr..she's 19..barely out of the baby stage. That's kinda how the majority of 19 yr olds act. If that's not what you seek then I suggest you seek someone older. She still has a lot of growing up to do which means living life. Do you remember being 19?

Well no I dont suggest ignoring, ignoring in the sense of communication stopping, I suggest just ignoring the behavior, that’s what planned ignoring is, it isn’t ignoring the person, you still acknowledge them as being there talk with them ect however you dont acknowledge the behavior, you just ignore it, pretend like they didn't do whatever it was they were doing for attention.
