I think that you can actually be both. I feel being a slave is a natural extension of being a submissive. If was with someone who did not want to be Master, I could be submissive with but if someone wanted to extend it further I would be able to adapt to that. I think the challenge is in the harder of the two, which of course is being a slave. That is why I think that the person who said a slave is weak is an idiot. It is MUCH harder!

Submissives have tighter orifices as they haven't been subject to as much extended usage as slaves.

I don't think anybody - sub, slave or vanilla - could tell their partner to "where to get off" without it having a serious impact on the relationship.

Not necessarily. I have limits that were discussed when we met, before we became M/s.
They are still in place now, almost 5 years later. All of my limits except one are also his, he would like to do that one, and I have been recently reconsidering it because I don't like holding anything away from him that he desires.

He still considers me to be his slave even with this limit in place.
