I can only second Drifa.

In my experience the same goes for the "dominant" men, who are out on converting dominant women.

It is all always there the other way around. I had a very good looking girlfriend who set out every saturday to convert gay men.

That kind of behaviour has nothing to do with sex in my books, but everything with Power and Problems with ones self. Trying to get reassurance by breaking somebody in - so to speak.

Part of it is the playing/competion thing too, but it is something very dangerous. for all involved.

The myths transported by Pornography are not making the situation better.

PS My girlfiend stopped her crazy behaviour some 25 years ago.

The things Collarme has taught me about BDSM:

1.) All women around my age are only in it to take others money.
2.) Sub guys are creepy as hell. (Aware of the hypocrisy, thank you)
3.) All women past the age of 30 are usually full of themselves. Until I see a dead body and a shining likeness of said lady, you're not going to get my worship "goddess".
4.) BDSM is about sex. Wait no it isn't. It's about the forfilling feeling of being restrained... and having a knob for it. Oh how terrible.
5.) ALL guys have no tact and think that a "hi wil u dom me plz i do wat u wan plz plz plz" is attractive.
6.) All women in their 50's with no picture on their profile have husbands, and only want to cam with people behind said hubbys back.

Good thing I don't use this as a reference for BDSM.

For me, the posters here at CM have been very insightful and educational. I get a pretty good feel of someone from the way they post, and it helps to see how the community here functions. While I've been in several D/s relationships, after spending some here reading the thoughts of others in/on the lifestyle, I guess the most valuable thing I've learned is how varied the expressions, levels of experience, reasoning and benefits of participation are for everyone. There truly is a wide variety of individuals here, each with their own unique twist on the lifestyle, and sometimes incredible advice for others less experienced. I enjoy the time I spend here.
