I have a torso pic up as My main profile pic. However, I have several others also, and all one has to do is continue to click on photo to run through the additional ones which include full face, with a smile.
My half-baked reasoning on that is to maintain just a bit of discretion. If someone is just wandering through the site, they might not follow through with checking all possible photos of Me. But if they are serious and want to stop and read, they can see more of Me, if they like.
Have you checked to see if the profiles you are perusing have more than one photo? Maybe a nice face shot is a bit deeper in the pile. I have been approached more than once with the email that says if I request a photo I should provide one. I am always polite in letting the writer know that I already have, they just need to continue to click.

To the trained eye.... all I need to see is the uniformity of a woman's arms and how ''tight'' they appear to be, for me to assess the rest of her body. Same with the middle to the tops of her shoulders.... just like with a man.. the peaks and valleys tell us many things.

Now..... Please don't infer from what I've written above to mean that I'm overly superficial, because I'm not {I actually prefer a woman with a little meat on the bones}I just wanted to make you aware that you can make a pretty good guess as to the whole picture from just isolated parts.
