I have no pic, no profile. I'm just here to read and interact on the message boards. It was suggested to me to have a real profile, so I put one up for a few days, but I was uncomfortable with that for whatever reason and took it down.

I don't want to seem unfriendly or rude, but I'm just not comfortable, what else can I say. I'm sure if I was seeking a relationship I'd feel much different.

I would prefer not putting any photos up of course. My family and friends don't know of my interest in BDSM and I want to keep it that way but on the other hand, I feel that I need to explore this side of me. I wasn't getting any messages or even replies to my messages when I didn't have a pic up but now I do get the occasional message and my messages to others get better responses too. I myself tend to write to people with photos more than those without, just because they stand out more. As far as pictures where the face is hidden, I don't usually let that stop me from contacting someone since I'm really here for BDSM experience and not necessarily to find a date or even sex so things like looks, race, religion even sexual orientation aren't TOO important to me.

And I can go with that, Guilty. My next question is, do you set your searches to profiles with pictures only? How often do you write to someone with no picture?
I only ask because I am aware that a large percentage of men on this site do not have photos of themselves posted, and often tell Me they either do not have a good photo of themselves to send Me, or they don't know how to attach one to an email. And they also do not look at a profile that has no photo. Just wondering here...

A Picture in a profile is always nice. But not a requirement with me. Because picture or not, it's going to depend on the person themselves. How they approach, talk, act, respond.

Now my search mode is on with pics only. Only because when I sign on, it's nice to see someone... not just something. But I get and answer e-mails from non picture profilers. Makes it fun to begin the learning process... even as friends.

First of all, I'm in a long-term serious relationship. As we both play with other people as well, I do sometimes search the profiles on CollarMe, and basically I have my search set to "women upto 35 or 40 or so in The Netherlands". As far as the dating side of collarme is concerned, I'm only interested in possible r/l contacts so I don't search profiles from other countries (although, of course, I might write someone - of any gender, orientation, sex, location, etc. - I met here on the boards). I usually read all new profiles that match my search - I can, 'cause there are only a few new ones each week. I do not write to that many people, but I can assure that anyone coming up in my search with a profile that feels sincere and with a serious interest in advanced rope bondage will catch my interest, picture or no.
