Indeed, I have met many a person who doesn't appologise, some dress it up 'if I didn't mean to do it I wouldn't have done it so I dont appologise' or 'saying sorry means nothing, if a submissive does something wrong then they have to make it up to me...if I do something wrong I might make her a cup of tea or something (no joke that was my ex)

I also think it funny how on sites like these most claim that they are able to say sorry, it does make me wonder where the people I meet live, which rock it is under.

I think anyone regardless of oriantation should be able to admit when they have fucked up and take responsibility for the repercussions of said fuck up.

In life, everyone fucks up sooner or later (even me ! ) , apologising is not un-Domly, nor is the learning that goes with the process. Coming up with some bollox easy escape clause, whether Domliness related or not ... is quite simply cowadice, apologising is not always easy, nor does it come with a guarantee of rectifying anything, but the true weakness is to NOT apologise when it is called for.

Sometimes there is a difference in the two. I have said things that have hurt the feelings of others intentionally...meaning called them out on their behavior or something else that was negative, and offer no apologies. I think we have all done this.

But if a Dom says something that is crass, rude, hurtful for no reason other than to inflict distress, etc, certainly an apology needs to be made. Calling himself a Dom/Master does not negate his responsibilities from treating others with respect...and absolutely this includes a submissive. If she is not treated with respect from her Dom, she needs to bolt.

If I intently hurt someone, physically, emotionally or mentally, I will apologize for my fault. If it was during playtime and part of the act, I would not apologize. It has happened to me when I am submissive and I felt that I was owned an apology for having my hard limit pushed beyond my control. I was not given any and it lead to a PTSD attack (reasoning for the hard limit).

I know my faults and my limitations and would like to have them respected, just like I will respect any potential partners' limitations and faults.

One of the things which make a male as a Man is his willingness to stand and be counter, appologise and make what ever amends or restitution he deems reasonable. Sadly so many pseudo men have a finely hones talent of shifting the blame onto others and joining in the "Witch Hunt"

Just my view but it is one of those areas by which I judge a man to be a Man or am judged as a Man too.
