Ok folks, I have a food dilemma, and I want to put it out here. Due to thyroid issues, eating more than one helping of tofu per day is a no no (also cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts and tofu stuff like edemame). That would be one helping of all of those ... If I have one helping of tofu, I can't have any of the others the rest of the day. I also am lactose intolerant, and while I CAN eat milk products, and lactaid helps, I still don't want to - it makes things better, but I still am not very olphactorily pleasant to be around, and my tummy still gets a little upset. Beans, let's face it, make you toot. If I want to toot, I'll eat cheese (or broccoli). I don't. SO..... Any suggestions of how I can move toward being vegetarian? Basically no tofu or milk products. Prefer no beans. Any ideas? Thanks, sunshine
