Yesterday was my nieces' birthday (she is 4 now) and we were going to celebrate it until we saw lightening. Ran home as fast as we could, trying to beat the storm (by seconds) Tornados all around us and Georgie decides he is hiding out in moms' room. So far, no damage to us.

Excuses... 1) I still cannot shake this cold, and I drink lots of calorie rich oj , and I am not exercising ***Get the Lite & Healthy OJ***

                2) It was a long day. I work a shift job and I had to work overtime, plus before I even work at my paid job, I do volunteer work as well. So, it was a 14 hour day and my eating schedule is thrown off, so I grabbed food where I could. Which meant eating lots of fatty foods.
****Pack some healthy snacks before work. Celery & peanut butter (Low fat/low sodium brand), almonds, carrot sticks, protein bar****

3) It was the day from hell when I got to work, so I ate snacks inappropriately. **See above**

4) I love cheese... I must eat cheese.... lots of cheese..
***Get fat free cheese***

Those are my excuses for yesterday.

Today was a little better but I am not on a eating plan. I am still eating spontaneously whenever I want. And I am not exercising. All bad things.

Peanut butter is only good for you if it's made of nothing but peanuts.  I looked at the label on a jar of Jif & it read:  Made from peanuts & sugar!!!  I like the all-natural one.  But read those labels too because sometimes they add oil to it to make it all smooth.

I can't STAND the organic peanut butter! TOOOO damn oily and after awhile it's like old ice cream that has freezer burn[:'(]

I just wanted to say that the scale just read 245!!!!!  This means 37 lbs lost.  Another 3 lbs & it will be 40 lbs.  I can't hardly believe this.  Oh wait!  I say that every time I see the numbers going down on the scale, don't I?  My sister told me that I couldn't lose weight if I wore pants with elastic waists.  She even said it again when my weight loss was 35+.  Isn't she adorable??  I've learned over the years that as long as you don't try to confuse her with facts all's right in her world.  [:D]

And Potts, ya gotta stir the peanut butter, dumbass!

My Weight Watcher leader mentioned it once.
It is a powdered peanut product that you mix with water to spread. 
2 TBS is 53 calories vs 190 for Jif. 
Total fat is 1.9 grams vs 16 grams. 
Sodium is 77 mg vs 150mg. 
Total carb is 3.4 grams vs 7 grams. 
Protein is 6 grams vs 7 grams.

Spanks, FoolishGuy.  I would go a couple of weeks weighing the same amount, then suddenly drop 3 lbs.  Don't get discouraged!!!

Hey, hey, hey people! I've lost about 5 lbs in the past week! Yay me! It's been relatively painless too, all I did was cut out meat (I'm eating meat only once a week), increased my veggie intake, and started walking home from work.

My weight went up. I feel a bit discouraged, but then I had the pneumena(?) so I could not work out. Add honeybuns to the mixture (and lots of chucky soup) and I was bound to gain weight.

If we go to town tomorrow, I am grabbing a head of lettuce or a bag of mixed green salad. I also told mom no more honeybuns and chohlate covered doughnuts (her fave). Finished off tghe last of the sweet stuff this morning before going to town.

Mom is baking more and is trying all kinds of banana breads. They are okay, but don't have anything on my deluxe banana chocolate chip banana muffins...

Nobody mess with my excuses, damn it!

And if anyone tries to make me eat peanut butter product (wtf is that?!!!) they'd find themselves hogtied, reciting the abc's backwards with mouthfulls of "peanut butter product."

Oh, and if ya try to sneak in mashed cauliflour in place of mashed potatoes someone is gonna be hurting. (and it ain't gonna be me after a long work out)

Sorry if that sounded snippy, but it had to be said. [:-]

Basically, I am counting points (to a point) and working out every week day. (about an hour or so a day) I won't be dropping the pounds like they're master's hurty things, but I won't feel deprived, and I *should* maintain a slow but steady progress.

Ok, and now for the rest of the honesty: I totally skipped workouts last week. *sigh*
