Hello Ladies (and Gents?)

Can I just tell you how happy I am that I can shop at New York and Company now?  Could  you call them and tell them all their clothes are ugly, and they should get something pretty now for me to purchase??  LOL

I've not posted in a while... I seem to have stalled at my size loss, though I do see much more definition.  I've been doing various classes at the Y, but I'm adding in a new "Sports Conditioning" class next Monday.  I'm totally scared, but willing to try!

I did yoga last night, and did the shoulder stand pose. Talk about pumped!  I haven't done that since high school, and I held it for quite some time...!  Yay!  I'm a little sore today, but all is well. 

This week is bad because I've had to stay late at work for the last two days...and will again tomorrow.  I hate having (what feels like) a whole week knocked off.  I can still go this weekend, but let's be honest... I probably won't. 

I've been cooking a lot more lately, and have some great dishes if anyone is interested.  Most of them came from EatingWell.com -- the best so far was the black bean soup that took about 10 minutes.  Really!

Does anyone have any suggestions for sweets that aren't sugary?  I tend to want something sweet at the end of the night, and I would like something other than a dark chocolate piece.

Mmm, try peppermints Anne. The hard ones (shup Ron) which will encourage you to suck rather than bite so it'll last longer. (SHUP RON)
 
Sports Conditioning is hard! Well, it was for me and the Instructor I had was like a damn drill sgt!! Maybe you're Instructor will be easier but be prepared to work those muscles you forgot that you had!!

As for me, I started my workout program last night that the PT wrote up for me and DAMN I"M FREAKIN' SORE!!! I was at that freakin' gym for OVER 2 hrs (almost 2.5) and STILL didn't get all the work done! Skipped some free style lifts & the tricep drop but got in the core workout plus 2 30 minute sessions for cardio. I really increased the resistance on both pieces & my legs are feeling it today!!!
For dinner I had the usual brown rice w/veggies marinated in balsamic vinegar but no Crystal Lite. As soon as I got home I had a protein bar while the rice was cooking.
I really burned up alot of calories that I didn't consume so I was staggering a bit. (No, it wasn't the alcohol this time)!

Today I made sure to bring a protein bar to eat before the workout & protein powder to consume before & after the workout in addition to my usual fresh fruit & oatmeal for lunch.

I'm getting groceries tomorrow & on my list I have items to make veggie lasagna & have stuck w/as many fat free items I can get.

Checked my weight today & it appears that I may have gone down another lb or so.  I used the scale at the Home, so don't really remember what the last weigh-in here showed.  I cooked up a storm last night with Joan.  Seems that when she told her friends & family that she couldn't walk to them for Shabbos meals, they decided they would come to us.  Last night my pain was about a 26 on a scale of 1-10 & I ended up taking 3 tylenols, which I hardly ever do.  Didn't help much, but I just kept moving & today the pain is down to about a 9.9999999.  Yay!

Off now for another hour of torture. Just got a call from my drycleaner informing me they're closing the store down & have to pick up my clothes tonight soooooo only an hour of workout time darn the luck!  I'm sooooo disappointed!  Well, maybe I can get in 90 minutes instead of 60.

Wish me luck!

(That's why I always take off my shoes, set my purse down and remove any hardware like earrings and belt before being weighed at the doctor's office!)

Thanks Anne!

I did manage to get in 90 minutes and I found the source of all my misery.....the "Leg Press" machine......................oh........my..................damn!!!!!!  My quads are KILLING me today! I can't kneel on my heels, I have to hold onto something & get on my knees to uh, to, to clean the litter box...yea that's the ticket clean the litter box!!!

I'm happy that w/this new intense workout plan my appetite has actually decreased but I make myself eat so the portions are alot smaller. Yayyyyyyyyy! Less calorie intake, large calorie loss during exercise equals a smaller potty....hopefully!!!!
I just want to lose 20lbs, that's not alot to ask for is it??????

I asked my uni - they have a gym on campus! Yay! Now ... I'm gonna walk the doggies today... for the last time for awhile... But that's ok.

I swear that the scales at Curves is set wrong.  It says I weigh 276 yet when I went to the doctors office it says I weigh 267.  I know the Dommes at Curves mean well but having a machine that misrepresent everyone's weight needs to be replaced with a digital one (like the ones at MHMR and the doctors office).

Meanwhile, Mom and I just raked the side and secendary driveway.  Took an hour and a half..LOL!  I wish the wind was not blowing so we can burn these leaves.

Congratulations Shar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


For me.....my quads are KILLING ME! My shoe was untied & I couldn't even kneel down to tie it. I had to wait until I was sitting down before I even attempted.
No pain no gain right?

For lunch I had a "Weight Watcher's" meal consisting of potatoes, brocoli & cheese. DAMN it was GOOD! I scraped every bit of cheese off the containter that I could w/o having to sit at my desk & start licking! For desert 1 small apple & 3 peppermints.
Let's see, what'd I have for breakfast????  Oh yeah, coffee w/powder cream, no sugar....2 slices of dry multigrain toast.

So I've been obsessing about losing that last lb that will put me over 40 lbs lost.  Keeping it in the front of my brain all the time.  Then I sit down to eat tonight & grab a bag of tortilla chips & mindlessly eat about a ton of them before my head snaps back to, "Oh yeah...I was gonna lose that lb!!!!!"  GAAAAH!!!!!!!

Why not just try a super effective 30 minute workout? If you can't get in the time you normally do. I do hyped 30 minute workouts two times a week.

Hey for anyone that likes fish or doesn't like fish I found these frozen fish filets by trident. They are amazing. I don't normally like fish, but these are marinated and when cooked just right are soo tender they melt in your mouth. Yummy yummy tilapia.


Oh any my personal trainer said the best thing after a workout is chocolate milk it contains just the right amount of glucose and other good things to help out your muscles.


Just thought I would share.

It's worked well for me. I can barely recognize my own face in the mirror these days and I'm down two full pants size.
