Good Morning, All!

Chocolate milk? I never heard that one before Imp, thanks for sharing!

When I know I only have a limited time to workout I do up the intensity level. Thurs & Fri I increased my intesity to "Advanced" on the mountain climbing machine which put me at 90-105 resistance level instead of the usual 20-25. I keep my 100% incline so it feels like I'm walking uphill thru mud!

I've got to go & change for the gym. I rested the muscles for 2 days now gotta start all over again!

If there is any snow or sleet I am not going to work out tomorrow.  I am about to go walk the dogs though since I did skip this morning (finally slept over 9 hours instead of the puny 6 hours I have been doing lately)

You too Shar! Walking the dogs is great exercise in between gym time!

As for me I worked out for almost 2hrs last night...1 hr doing strength training & the rest of the time doing cardio.

When I got home I had a protein bar/some Whey protein shake, mushroom omelette (no cheese but some green beans) made w/cooking spray (no oil), multi grain dry toast.

I am happy to report that I reached my goal for this week.  It's official.  I have now lost over 40 lbs since I decided that I was going to lose all this weight.  I can't hardly believe how easy this has been to do.  I haven't felt deprived at all.  I haven't lost it as quickly as they do on the tv show, but I'm losing it steadily & getting into better shape & feeling great.  I've only gone back up 1 lb in all this time.  Everything else has been loss.  My next goal is to hit 235, 7 more lbs.  That was the lowest weight I have been since the 90's.

Is it pure whey protein Pots? What brand do you use the brand if it is I have is sooo yucky that even mixing it with fruit and yogurt makes me gag?



I on the other hand eat a ton of cheese, cottage cheese things like that. I have to so many things have peanuts and I'm allergic.

On a trip two weeks ago I decided to do some shopping...

Instead of size 20 pants, I bought a very comfortable size 16, that I'm already having to pull up from time to time *sigh*.

I also bought a 40DD bra instead of the 44DDD I had been wearing!

Not sure of the brand, Imp but I did have my PT look at it when I bought it last year and he said it was a really good brand to buy, full of the proper nutrients.
It is definitely an acquired taste and I won't drink it UNLESS I've worked out because by then I'm thirsty as heck anyway despite all the water I drink during the workout so I'll just chug-a-lug the shake. I make it was water instead of milk..........[:'(]
I'll drink it while munching on a protein bar & that helps too.

Talk about GAGGING!

Last night I did my usual hour on the weights & hour on cardio but I really pushed myself on both. I increased the weights by at least 15-20 lbs on the lower body workouts as well as increasing the impact on the cardio. I didn't necessarily increase the resistance level just worked out harder/faster....think head down in the starting position for runners who compete! lol.....it's a form of the eliptical machine but you can increase the incline & resistance to mimic mountain climbing.

For dinner I had 1/3 c brown rice, cheese omelette & salad w/balsamic vinegar.
During the cooking I had the protein bar/some shake.

Haha Pots you'll appreciate this the trainers had me do something new last night because they decided push ups were getting too easy. Take two dumbbells place them on the floor. Put your hands on them go to a plank do a push up. Pull one arm up into a row. Go into another push up, pull the other arm into a row, jump up like a GI jane, push the dumbbells up over your shoulders, and drop down back into a plank.... Talk about rooooooooough.

I do. If it's a good day I can get 7 in, in the 30 sec interval.. If it's a bad day only 4 lmao.

We call burpies GI janes...


Down ups are when you are in a plank and you push up with one arm then the other. So essentially really similar to one armed push ups.
