Southbeach has been successful for a couple people i know, its a lower carb but also focuses on low fat. I have the book, but i work better with atkins and working up the ladder adding stuff back in as there are certain foods that stall my weight loss and lower fat tends to make me hungry. Grins, plus i enjoy cheese and i love pizza and atkins allows me to make my toppings stew -- i.e., italian sausage, little bit of roma tomatoes, squash grated in, black olives and pepperoni and salami mixed together. (i also sometimes add spinach but you can use any veggies you like on pizza and i should say that many times i throw in shredded chicken to cut down on the bad type fat though not enough to make it tasted) Then i take and make little piles of same and melt cheese parm and moz cheese on top, then i slip the piles on thicker tomato slices and eat them like open faced sandwiches. Seriously, this is a huge reason why i love Atkins, when i did this plan babout 5 years ago i lost 50 pounds in 2 months and i ate this a lot lol. Its rather good but is higher in fat lol. Plus i get my full fat blue cheese lol. and in a pinch a cheese burger on a salad is awesome along with a lot of chicken. angel
