You'll find it again. You're life is in an upset right now so stress eating is understandable.....in moderation. Get some crunchy foods......apples, salads, raw green beans (no chips or candy ).
You've lost 50lbs....you know what to do.

Yeah, I do know what to do.  Your support is invaluable.  I bought some celery & hummus & some strawberries & yogurt.  But I also bought some boxed mac n cheese.  It's organic!!!!!

LMAO!!!  It's true that I know what to do, it's convinving myself to actually do it that's the hard part.  I don't want to put the weight back on, I really really don't.  The cool thing about moving back to Portland is the climate is a lot more temperate & the neighborhood that we are hoping to live in has lots of nice walking.  I'm hoping for a multilevel home so that I can do stairs.  Eating properly without the exercise just doesn't work for me.  I think I'll go run up & down my sister's stairs now.  Then I can have the mac n cheese, right???

This morning I had a yankering for pancakes so I grabbed a small plate & filled it w/smaller pancakes! I drank some strawberry milk to wash it all down followed by my usual coffee. I was completely nauseous at the idea of making my brown rice for lunch so for late morning & early afternoon snacks I split a "Meal Replacement" packet & each time I had an apple with it. I'm not very hungry so all is well.
I'll probably have brown rice when I go home along w/egg whites.

I have a recipe for "Four-Veggie Pizza" that isn't too high in fat & very low in saturated fat. Maybe I'll make that over the weekend.

**Eta, I will be going to the gym tonight. Every Mon, Wed & Fri 1/5-2 hrs working out. I'm thinking even when my Tues/Thurs classes are over I'll devote Tues's to extra marathon training since Thurs's I'll be playing kickball**

Hey Skinny Linny:

Keep this goal in sight, you already showed his evilness & the Mrs. how much weight you've lost via pics. If you gain it back imagine their disappointment

what about wild rice as a change to the brown stuff for a lil while?

or is it as expensive there as it is here?

I was thinking that exact thing, Angel.
I found this place online bulkfoods.com that's pretty reasonably priced here in the States.

I love the bulk brown & wild rice mixes.  I'm not sure that I would enjoy wild rice by itself.

You're right, Potty.  I need to keep in mind how proud everyone has been of my sticking to this weight loss goal.

$3.60 for 100 g. i've seen the organic stuff for $10-12 for 150 gr - - and this is the Australian wild rice, not imported

(there's approximately 450 gr to a lb)

Okay, i am going shopping this weekend and starting Atkins -- hard core, which means sticking to the plan and doing induction for 2 weeks. Then i will go onto OWL and adding stuff back in.

I know many people are not fans of Atkins, but i have done it in the past and it works well for me.

I have been doing this half-assed for the last month and it just doesn't do well until you actually follow the plan.

So that is my goal for the next 2 weeks -- stay on my plan and start exercising.

Mom wants me to bring home the South Beach diet books.  I suspect she has something up her sleeve.  Luckily one of the books is a cookbook.

I have taken to having cereal those days when I want something crunchy.  I do 2% milk because I cannot stand skim or 1%.

Got a lot of walking to do tomorrow.  I am just relaxing today because of the rainstorms coming through.

I've been sitting around for days.  Not good!!  But yesterday I walked all over Alexandria, from one end to the other & back again.  Some of it was slow & some of it was fairly fast-paced.  The weather is perfect for walking again today.  I dreamed that I went out for what I thought was a walk with a group & they took off jogging.  Even in my dreams I don't run, apparently.

Southbeach has been successful for a couple people i know, its a lower carb but also focuses on low fat. I have the book, but i work better with atkins and working up the ladder adding stuff back in as there are certain foods that stall my weight loss and lower fat tends to make me hungry. Grins, plus i enjoy cheese and i love pizza and atkins allows me to make my toppings stew -- i.e., italian sausage, little bit of roma tomatoes, squash grated in, black olives and pepperoni and salami mixed together. (i also sometimes add spinach but you can use any veggies you like on pizza and i should say that many times i throw in shredded chicken to cut down on the bad type fat though not enough to make it tasted) Then i take and make little piles of same and melt cheese parm and moz cheese on top, then i slip the piles on thicker tomato slices and eat them like open faced sandwiches. Seriously, this is a huge reason why i love Atkins, when i did this plan babout 5 years ago i lost 50 pounds in 2 months and i ate this a lot lol. Its rather good but is higher in fat lol.

Plus i get my full fat blue cheese lol. and in a pinch a cheese burger on a salad is awesome along with a lot of chicken.

I know but they want me to join with a monthly fee.  I am trying to do this as cheap as I can.  I am on Sparkpeople which has all the things I can have without costing me a thing.
