I'm going to get my hair trimmed so I can just style it w/a blowdryer enabling me to workout in the AM at the gym, shower & get ready for work w/o having to go back home. I'll still work out in the evenings too a couple of days a week but the majority of my time will be at the track.

Wooohooooo!! I made the kickball team so once class is over (next week) I'll be playing kickball on Thurs. nights after work

im in a 'silver sneakers' class......at my fitness level i had to begin somewhere.
ive been to 5 classes so far and i am treated very well. i have noticed with my diet changes and the exercise i am able to do more each time i go.
i was going to go by the y yesterday for treadmill.....when i got there i lasted 12 minutes before i had a coughing spell*ive been sick*
so Master had me finish up my task at home.....i brought out a leslie sansone walking video and then i went to exercise tv dot com.
i woke up tired as heck....and sore....but managed to get my exercise class today. however i went to lunch and had some 'home' style food which included fried clams. i had like 2 tablespoons of them and got sooooooooo sick a half hour later(i wonder if that was the punishment i need to fear) omg i felt awful. still do. after being so good for 2 weeks,being naughty did me in. anyway this is a wonderful place for support and confession as well.

I think we sovled the gaining weight rapidly mystery.

I was gaven a prescribation for thyroid mediciene. I do have hypothyroidism. for the past 3 months, i was not worried about my weight until I noticed that my feet and ankles were swollen. I just omitted salty foods. still the swelling continued. I had some trouble getting my pants on now. The 24s are tight on me. I fit comfortaly in an 3X so I brought a few pairs of shorts (does this mean I have to shave my legs now?).

Now that I am off the meds, maybe I will lose weight. I am not positive about this, but I am going to give it one more time.

BTW..the weight has made my breasts bigger. does thes mean that I have to get pictures of the lusty pair to show to DS?

st.....i really hope you take my words in a helping spirit....i was in your shoes with medical issues and extra weight.
i have finally decided to do something about it actively.
i really recommend you get some good support,get accountable for every bite you put in your mouth and go to your local ymca and join a seniors class for exercise. ive noticed your posts. i have logged all my food........started slamming water down me like it or not and in 2 weeks ive lost 8 pounds and Master took baseline measurements and He is holding me accountable and giving me encouragement. i suggest you use your friends on the 'biggest loser' thread and do this or its going to continue to get worse for you.
if i am out of line with this advise you can disregard it but i had to say it out of the concern i have for you as i am in the same boat.

No workout last night but today it's back to the gym for 2 hrs of sweatin'.........

Sun I'll be out walking/running at the track trying to push myself to go further & further. I have my 1st "run" on May 8....a 5k so I can't embarass myself!

It's "only" a little over 3 miles & I can walk that in no time. That's 12 times around the track. Hmmmmm, maybe I should go tonight too instead of the gym.

First day back on the job & Granny can't stand up on her own at all. So I was doing transfers with her all day plus running up & down the stairs. Good exercise!!

Joan has a friend who is helping me now & she brought me this Pita filled with all sorts of goodies. I ate the filling & left the pita. But last night after talking with His Evilness & my daughter & deciding I need to stick it out here, I ate cereal & yogurt with Ovaltine in it. Last food splurge though. Back to the old regimen today.

I was talking to a co-worker who's also a bit of a runner & she recommended that I go to the track tonight & do 4-miles instead of the gym so that's what I'm-a-gonna do!

Fri I ran/walked 2miles...today I did 3.
Yayyy! It was HOT outside but I did it & will do it again

-sighs- i have to figure out a back up plan, NM didn't sleep well so he didn't want to go to the gym this morning which means I couldn't go either. (since i currenctly can't drive)
