Granting that it is generally considered rude to make comments about people in a language different from the one they speak, here online it is mainly just an inconvenience. The various translation sites, bad as they are, will almost always give you a pretty good idea of what was said. K.

Nor to kittin because she is French. I've nothing against humor poking fun at people's - or nation's - foibles, but those are based upon broad (and not necessarily accurate) generalizations. They don't apply to individuals anymore than an individual's traits apply to the large groups he or she belongs to.
