i'm fairly benign and harbor ill toward no one. i just asked "Why?" because it is annoying when people don't read profiles, won't take no for an answer, insist on trying to make me Something I'm not, and so on, and I just wanted to know....Why. At first I tried to reason with them, but that did not work. The only way to handle this is to just block, delete, and move on. So that is what I do.

Your solution makes perfectly good sense to me. I could not imagine anybody of any gender or persuasion continuing a conversation to persuade someone that "no" really means NO. You would just be reinforcing their attention seeking behavior. Which brings up another reason why sub guys may be pestering you: childish attention seeking. There is probably a lot of that going on.
