Looking at the fictional world of Gor, that is very primitive, no modern technology, and strength of arms oftenj determined many things, then physical might does mean more. That is the ficitional world of Gor though. Now if you can pull some quotes from the series that made you believe this is an over all view I would be interested to see them, and discuss them. To make my point, here and now I know a female from CM (though she has not posted in a long, long time), that if we are stuck in a swamp, she is worth more than just about anyone else I know of. I also will make sure that she is in charge and that everyone better do as she says, or they will have my misogynistic boot up there ass so far they can taste my shoe leather. You see the female I am speaking of has a lot of merit in the wilderness, especially in swampy areas, and as a Gorean I place value on things based upon merit and circumstantial value. Do I care if she has a dick? Nope, because she has the knowledge and value needed in a swamp, and it surpasses mine. Unless I want to fuck something, I don't care as much about gender, as I do about merit, ability and circumstantial value. What most people do not like is that when all else fails, violence is the last resort in conflict resolution. In general males are better at violence than females. Please notice the words "in general". This simple fact was emphasized recently during Katrina, and is emphasized daily around the world. This does not mean that a female cannot kick the shit out of me or another man, in fact I know one that is an MMA fighter that I would definately use dirty in-fighting tactics if I let her get close enough to go HTH. Instead I would likely shoot her, as I consider her that deadly in HTH. There are no absolutes, but there are differences in the genders. These differences are good things, because when things are in harmony they fit into one another. Now if someone said that Gor seems to attract a lot of misogynist, I may actually agree with that, but most of them are only Gorean for the slave girls, and when in the company of other Gorean males find themselves at the bottom of the pecking order. I have rambled enough, if you want to continue with this I am sure Kimveri, or one of the others will do so, but I recommend it be put in the Gorean section. quote:
ORIGINAL: xssve I don't think Gorean philosophy is inherently misogynstic, it's androcentric, which isn't quite the same thing: it isn't saying women are worthless, it's just saying men are worth more.
