Now that is an honest and mature reply. You'd have saved yourself so much time 6 pages ago if you'd done that from the beginning. On the grand scale of things I worry about, Goreans don't even make the top 100 - when a Gorean is in a position to appoint a SCOTUS judge, I'll worry about you - Scientology and Randism both have you beat by orders of magnitude in the "20th Century Philosophies based on Science Fiction novels that make you say WTF" department.

Meantime, Happy New Year, on Gor or anywhere else.

Not bad, not bad. I was considering a .40 cal Glock for my next purchase, mainly for concealed carry. But then I thought about a nice large caliber revolver for home defense. Sooner or later, I'm sure I'll have both, plus a nice 12-gauge to round them out.

What are you talking about? I *am* pointed and obnoxious. It's part of my charm (as evidenced by the plethora of cmails I used to get before closing my account).

That's what cracks me up about the detractors I have on here. They think that by calling me an asshole (or making a thread poll to the fact) they will somehow tell me something I don't know.

I *am* an asshole. I know because I've met me. I've said before....numerous times....that even my friends 'affectionately' refer to me as "ass." But in that comes their respect for my honesty. They know I won't bullshit them like others do. My female friends know that if they ask my opinion something they're wearing, I'm not going to tell them it looks good because I'm trying to get in their pants. If they look like shit, I'll tell them. They admire that. Or they seem to, since they're still my friends.

As for the bit you mentioned about carrying on a side conversation with me. Well, I used to chat online.....a lot. And one bit of wisdom sticks with me from those days -- if you aren't willing to tell me something in the main room, why would I want to pm with you? It's one of the ways the 'regulars' weed out the trolls in internet chat rooms. They're the ones who say nothing in the main channel while trying to hit on every female screen name in pm. If they don't have the balls to say it in the main room, however, why do they think the women will respect them for saying it in private?

In my opinion, the same holds true here. If you have something to say to me, either in dissent or in agreement, say it where it can be seen by everyone. Don't detract from me publicly only to tell me in a cmail that you agree and respect me for sticking to my guns. That's just chickenshit. (And yes, that's happened more times than I can recall.....usually from women too.)

If you don't, generally the mod will come up and encourage it, as seen in the latest marathon on the Gorean board.

That just means one must be careful how they derail. To derail for the occasional side chatter is fine. To derail with constant name calling is not. Now everyone knows I'm no stranger to the school-yard antics. But one thing you'll notice when I am involved, I don't start the school-yard bullshit, but I ain't gonna run from it either.

The humorous thing about you, is how wrong you are. I was sad and lonely before I became an asshole. Now, I couldn't be happier. It's liberating when you realize your worth isn't based in how the opposite sex views you. And by the way, a complete lack of trust is not the same thing as fear. I will never fear a woman. Yet I will never trust one either.
