In general, when someone's starts throwing their IQ around in the midst of a debate, I take it as a sign that they're out of anything relevant to say. A valid point is a valid point no matter who makes it. A concept is valid no matter where it comes from. If my IQ is higher than everyone else's who posted here, it does not necessarily follow that my beliefs are more right nor that my thesis is somehow more logically correct. I've known any number of brilliant people who believed all sorts of utter tripe.

Whipping your dick out and grabbing a ruler is only a valid debating tactic if you're arguing over who has the bigger dick. Then again ... maybe that's what this was all about anyway.

Well for my part of it..It was just to show how silly that whole IQ thing was. I'm hoping you got that.

I totally got that. I just snagged your post because it was the last one with a number in it and I wanted to get the whole train.

I couldn't help but laugh at the irony in that [:D]

I'm sure that somewhere in the world it's possible to at least minor in Kids in the Hall studies.

In England They Only Have One Spoon: The Categorical Imperative of Bruce McCulloch

{mildly sad that no one appreciates KITH references. HAVE YOU ANY IDEA HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE EMPLOYED BY THE INTERGALACTIC ANAL-PROBE INDUSTRY??!! Ok. Nevermind. I'll just go back to giggling to myself. No offense taken or intended.}

I just find it amusing to bring it up and watch out people scurry and shriek in protest. It entertains me.

I guess we lost our entertainment value.

Sorry..Kids in the Hall just isn't my thing :> I have heard the name but never have I watched any of the skits for longer than a few seconds.

I completely agree. The "Bow down bitch" was left out of my quote which made it more obvious I was joking, and in my post I was basically saying "Dude nobody questioned your IQ but if you're going to question ours, well...suck it."

sexyred1 -> RE: Misogyny and BDSM (1/4/2010 10:05:26 PM)

Hey everyone!!

The psycho boy bitch is back, sans profile.

I can't believe you had the nerve to come back for further humiliation. But as you said in one of your "brilliant" posts, you like to spend vast amounts of time in flamewars with online strangers that last FOREVER.

Keep it up, witless.

I so agree with this, and will add that intelligence, book smarts, and common sense are not even close to the same thing. I used to work with a group that helped victims of internet scams (yes, just like the "relocation" and "I've got a bazillion dollars and need your bank account" scams we see here). One of the worst victims I ever had contact with was:
a) an extremely well respected physician
b) a very high ranking official in his country's Public Health service
c) the author of several medical texts, articles, and other published works
and
d) deep in the hole with not one... not two... but three separate scammers, who had collectively conned him out of nearly $100,000USD (yeah, one hundred thousand). I spent hours laying out the scams he was involved in, how they worked, and what would happen next. After all that, he became the bane of my existence for several weeks, forwarding every scam mail he received (they had him on a "good mugu" list and were lining up for a chance to get at him) asking if this one was real... how about this one? Or this one? He nearly drove me nuts sending me that crap [8|]
The guy was extremely book smart, probably had an IQ way up there..... and didn't have enough common sense to fill a bottle cap. [>:]

So what happened to:

I never figured you were gone, just hid your profile, and pulled a dramatic flounce. Your communication skills still need some work, because if you are in a medium, that you are supposedly a professional at (writer), you are failing to convey what you actually mean.

I will leave you off of ignore, because it has been entertaining going back and reading your posts.

BTW, you are failing as a psychonaut as well, because you are creating an internal image, rather than discovering what is there. You seem to cast no "shadow", but in fact we all do. You have created the "Wise Old Man", when in fact the "Fox" is prevelant within the Wise Old Man's guise. This is at least what I am seeing from your posts, which sometimes is not a true measure of a person, but often it is what they really are without filters. If you are truly interested in being a soul sailor, might I suggest a bit of ego death to assist you. Some may not understand what I have said in this last paragraph, but if you are as educated as you portray yourself to be, you will know exactly what is being said.

Have fun.

sexyred1 -> RE: Misogyny and BDSM (1/4/2010 10:22:25 PM)

Some of us get your last paragraph Orion, the question is, will he?

Edited to add:  I think you are being far too generous; he is actually conveying exactly what he means and is, tragic as that may be.

OrionTheWolf -> RE: Misogyny and BDSM (1/4/2010 10:28:35 PM)

I know that many will actually get my last paragraph, as there are some very well read, and educated people here. Psychonaut23 may not believe it is true, but then he does not have the years of reading various posts, and the Fox is blinding him from seeing some things. The only thing that I find in question is: Is the Fox actually him, or that part of all of us that keeps us back from sometimes seeing unpleasant truths. I suppose there is a "Mentor" within me that hates to see some things wasted in people.

No, like a good zombie, it keeps coming, slowly shuffling towards you, it's flesh dripping and it's stench rising with each leaden step.

With a soulless cry, it utters the words that terrify you:

"Your parlor. Show me to your parlor!"
