Status: offline 		i can assure you that there are REAL sub men on here.  i happen to be one of them.

As with any search for a partner, it takes time.  We subs have a hard time finding Dommes as well, so it goes both ways.

Personally, i get lots of messages from Dommes who only want to webcam.  i know that some people are into that, but i am not interested in webcam sessions.  That doesn't make them fake, but it does make them incompatible with me.

i also get contacted by lots of people who live too far away to be practical.  Once again, that doesn't make them "fake", just impractical.

Keep at it.  Eventually, you will meet many male subs who are very real, and who live close enough to make meeting them practical. 

Also, i am somewhat familiar with the SF area.  If i were you, i wouldn't be wasting my time on-line.  SF has one of the most active communities anywhere.  Log off of the computer and go meet them.  Heck, what you're doing is analogous to sending a message from a boat in the middle of the ocean to ask if anyone knows where you can find some water.  You are right in the middle of a hotbed of BDSM. Go take advantage of it.

I'm not saying anyone here is like that, but since I'm on the net since it started  (yep, my slave is a nerd) i've seen a lot. I personally like to learn from others, give my opinion, and be present on the net to show others that they are not alone. I never asked for any favours, never wanted to meet someone, never asked for money and so on. I offer my help when I can, but not IRL.
For some Dominas that's enough to start bashing, to accuse... My slave knows he has to live by our rules and not by those of other people and lives up to it. As we have a 24/7 relationship it's based on servitude, not play.

So, why would subs be prudent ?  Maybe because the net is a dangerous place and meeting IRL can be a problem?

Of course on the other side I have had an email from those subs who don't read and start a conversation in exactly that way that you rejected in your profile. Somebody got a mail just saying "hello" or "I want to be your slave" ?

Status: offline 		Kudos to the OP... this is something i have been dealing with for a long time here on CM. I think people fall back on the worst stereotypes of subs (or Dommes). We behave in a rude, inconsiderate way which most would never do in real life. Also, We assume the person on the other end in the worst possible (stereotype) sub/ Domme. Yes there are real subs here just as there are real Dommes here. We just need to look without any biases. That doesn't mean there are undeserving people here (wankers, fakes...etc). But  is it that difficult to spot out a fake from real???

Another thing which i heard here was, Subs becoming scared of meeting in RL. I don't see this as an issue. Any person who is even remotely interested should be willing to meet in a neutral place (coffee, lunch). I wouldn't continue online conversation for a long time before moving to a phone conversation and eventually meeting for coffee or something. But well, this is just my two cents.

Status: offline 		Its hard to be true to oneself on a topic like BDSM. Trying something like it, when, you can't talk to friends and family for fear of being barred for life. Its a yearning to reach out, and try to find someone else that actually does BDSM. If you think about it, its really not as easy as it sounds. Yes, there are fakes, and there are posers. Those are the ones that know, but still want the feeling. The real submissives are here and there. They don't announce their presence to often. Since, like you, they will be spammed up the yin-yang by dom/me posers and fakes. In that moment, that you find one, strike up a conversation. You might be wrong (as I have at times), and find a profile that says "A", and the person you chat/mail is "B".

I've had to wade through the Dommes. Some are fakes and posers. Some are financial dommes. Others are so wrapped up in their life, that finding if the friendship would work simply never comes up. In a way, its kinda of depressing. We have this great tool at our fingertips, and yet, things seem just as hard, if not more so, in finding someone we would enjoy being with and around.

There are real submissives.

...everybody is having to wade through everybody...and the negative interactions often over shawdow those of us who are real and who live the lifestyle on a daily basis. But I guess that is the "nature of the beast"...the "cloak of deception"... It is a shame...we all know there are real folks out there...it is just the damn bad apples!

Unfortunately, I am a realist and know that the things I am into don't appeal to most of the Women in this lifestyle. In fact, I wrote a polite message to a Domme  about a week or so ago with no response. Then today, I read her journal update on how she just used a sub a few days ago along similar lines  I'm looking for. So I looked up his profile to see what he wrote and it was real short...a couple sentences stating he was looking for oral sex. Now I'm confused. I put my heart and soul out in putting together a truthful profile and I get no responses...and here he just states he's looking for oral worship and he gets it right off the bat! Go figure...and we both live about the same distance from this Mistress, so it's not that. I guess for some of us, for whatever reason, it's just not meant to be.
