Does aileen's daughter hate her even more yet?

Has she presented the cake?

"Mom, my cake sucks!!  You fucking bitch, I hate you.  You have ruined my birthday, again!!!"

In Chicago we have Jewel food stores. They make pretty good cakes for kids. My kid use to love spiderman decorated cakes. Pretrty princess ones for girls. They are not horribly expensive either. They look at you like you are depriving them when you dont get a store bought cake. Kids...sheesh. Although the cake from the Mexican bakery had white and chocolate cake in it bannana and pineapple filling, chocolate ganache on top and decorated with peach slices and whole strawberries. No spiderman but the kid thought it was the best cake ever! It was the most delicious with the whipcream they use in their batters.

I think a lot of the mexican bakeries still use lard, Is that right?  So Lushy, which Jewel tea store do you frequent?

We must buy a kid's cake at one of the bakeries when we have the August party.

Aileen, if you're still intent on torturing yourself with the cake, get ahold of a book called "The Cake Bible" by Rose Levy Bernbaum.  She has step-by-step instructions on making "showstopper" cakes...and basically how not to f*ck them up.

the last time I had a huge birthday party for my daughter, I made a cake that looked like a hat.  it sounds stupid but it was really cute.  it was one giant round layer cake with another smaller round on top.  you frost them in a pretty color and wrap a ribbon around the top layer so it looks all girly.  very easy.

If I could pay any attention to you at all, I would have laughed at that.

Jeffff this is the trick...I tempt them with the cake balls and then they cave. Beauty in it's simplicity.

Do you hear something...I keep hearing something like Charlie Brown's teacher in the back ground and can't figure out what it is....strange.

A certain meat puppet now owes me a new laptop after snurkling Diet Pepsi through my nose. if I were a man i would have a completely different answer for that.
