If that's really all you see, perhaps you aren't looking.

Or perhaps you need to find your own intellectual and lifestyle level. I've never seen much point in staying where you aren't being stimulated.

Tried blocking me? Oh that's easy. All you have to do to block someone is go to the lower left hand corner of any of their posts and click the "hide" button. Of course, if someone quotes them in their post you will still see it.

Hope that was helpful.

This thread has gone the direction you lead it. It all began with your favorite post #9.  This topic had the chance to become a very interesting thread, and a few even tried to lead it in that direction, but yet again it's turned out like many others that you've started.

This has less to do with what other people say and more to do with how you choose to respond to them.

For what it's worth...the goose is cute.  I'm still a fan of foie gras, though.

Post five is answers to your questions and a comment regarding how difficult it can be to understand you. Neither of which are attacks.

You chose to take this post in a negative way.  Your choice.

When the roles and rules are clearly defined in a relationship, whatever they may be or how they are applied to the people in that relationship.

this is the essence of my thought

Structure is a set of expectations established to guide the submissive’s conduct, for her to live up to.

Rules can’t be made to cover all possible contingencies and what is she to do when an uncovered contingency comes up, stop and just stand there? Structure would cover that by stipulating that she get in touch with him for guidance. In military terms structure may be akin to commanders intent.

Are dominants not also bound by the structure of the relationship?

For example: In a monogamously-structured relationship, isn't he expected to conduct himself accordingly?

Last night I sent Sir Littlewonder's comment on structure, and he agreed with that as well as added balance. Again thanks Littlewonder.

I have never felt it necessary to redefine a word or concept that has already been adequately defined.

My American Heritage Dictionary defines it as such: Something made up of a number of parts that is held or put together in a particular way.

A structure in construction needs to have minimally a foundation and a framework.  But it also needs fasteners, a way to hold the framework in place and hold to its foundation or the slightest wind could blow it down.

My Master and I have a foundation of common relationship goals.  We have a framework of Master/slave/bdsm.  It is all fastened together with love and respect.

To me, structure is the bars of the cage or maybe the hook in the mouth. It is the physical representation of the largely non-physical reality of a control relatiopnship. As such, it helps me to become more aware of the reality, in the same way that hearing from a friend who is not present reminds you of their existence and your affection for them. But structure is much more than a simple reminder. Like the cage and the hook, structure changes, shapes, limits, and channels one's personal reality to become that which the structurer chooses.

the original which was pulled from here had a tad more

to me the structure is the bare minimum on which rules, limitations, expectations, goals are hung, yes my concept of structure is all those things when complete

its like the shell of a house it's not a home till more is added

when i think about something i reduce it to it's final reduction and add from there, i likened it to the commanders intent which has flexibility and adaptability as it's corner stone.
commanders intent states the goal to be achieved, provides resources to achieve that goal, tactics to follow, doctrine to adhere to, what it gives is the ability for unit commanders to adapt within limitations to local conditions, while still pursuing the commanders goal,

i think the 3 of us are on the same bus in different seats with a slightly different view of the passing scenery

hell maybe i think too much lolololol not
