ORIGINAL: MichiganHeadmast Whoa, I thought I was a "dolt," domiguy! But since you asked, I wondered that myself. I tuned in to Air America and other left-of-center talk shows. By and large, I found them to be the very caricature that was created around the right-of-center shows, but to the extreme. Where Rush and Sean at least give air to opposing views, such views are routinely shut down and ridiculed on the AA shows. Janine Garafolo and company basically preach to the choir, and hang up on anyone with a different viewpoint. Just my experience, mind you.... Dolt, they are exactly the same. However, for some reason the right loves to have their own beliefs continually regurgitated back upon themselves. They can't get enough of slurping down their own puke. They don't want to be challenged but to be continually reaffirmed that their beliefs are correct. No need for the truth, no need to confirm anything. If it supports my limited views then that is all that I need to know. It is enough, the truth be damned. So many, like yourself, will place the words of a Danny Glover right up their with equivalence of what Hannity, Rush, Robertson and any of the other rightwing windbags have to say. They, unlike glover, have a daily audience of millions. The most memorable quote, the only quote, that I can ever recall comming out of Glover's mouth is, "I'm getting too old for this kind of shit." Millions of dittoheads listen to Rush. Why is that? You want to get a feel as to how America really feels about a certain topic? I will never form an opinion on any subject until I find out how Glover has weighed in on the situation. Dolt.
