Sometimes when we go to - 2/1/2010 11:20:09 AM

Status: offline 		public play parties we see Dominants who clearly don't know what they are doing and some to the point where it upsets the entire crowd to where they are told to stop by the Dungeon Master.

My question is what are your thoughts when you see something likke that: a person who does not know what they are doing? Does it make you take a look at yourself or just breath a sigh of relief that you know better.

My Owner tells me that when he use to see things like that he would take a quick inventory of self and make sure he was following what he believed to be safe and productive for both of us.

Just because someone has different levels than you doesn't make you better and them wrong.

Status: offline 		I think everyone is on a different level, some new, trying to learn, some stumbling their way through and others more advanced. I guess I can accept that people would be upset, even if I think it's the same as 'not knowing' what you're doing from a self control point of view; but as long as the Dungeon Master has is eye on things, that should be enough providing your question pertains to physical safety.

If it's about mental safety, then ... hehe .. be very afraid, lol ..

Status: offline 		The man hung the woman upside down from an unsafe rafter then proceeded to use a violet wand on her for too long of a time. He had to be stopped and she had to be taken to the hospital. We are not even sure she survived we never saw them again and they were regulars.

Status: offline 		Yes, it was for her physical safety. Most play in the Dungeons i have been in are physical play that's why i didn;t specify. Sorry about that.

I have seen unsafe things, things that I wouldn't be happy with happening to me, but then I am an avid fan of breathplay which causes many a folk to raise their hands in horror so generally I don't get involved.

Wonder how you knew that the rafter was unafe.

Status: offline 		I was once at a dungeon. The Dominant was using a single tail on the girl. He was absolutely flaying her. There was blood everywhere!  She didn't like it.

Most of us thought it was bad. We went and got the DM and he  kicked them both out. Him for whipping her so badly, she for bleeding all over the place.

What would you have done in similar situation?

Status: offline 		Well some people just want to crash and burn with an audience... and you get to have the mental repercussions, that 'wtf overload" , which I think is far more delicious than who knows or doesn't know what they're doing.

I wonder, do you want an answer to your original post or do you want us all to say how awful this thing was that none of us witnessed and could or could not have been safe, that she may or may not have liked? I just want to know where I am meant to come at this from. Because my first thought would be that it makes not one bit of difference what a person looks like in terms of what they can physically handle.

Status: offline 		It would seem to me that the smaller you are the less electricity you can take. You could see she was getting sick, you could see the rafter was about to break and it wasn't me who stopped him it was the Dungeon Master after other Dominants had complained.  If i can answer anything else, please let me know.

Are you talking about instances where two people in a relationship are doing this or situations where casual players (who perhaps have only just met) are suddenly part of such a situation?

It would make a heck of a difference.

I've only ever known a scene to be stopped once, and that was one of MY scenes where my boyfriend was singletailing me while I was strapped to a St. Andrews cross.  I was in one of my, fuck you bastard, bring it on...moods, and he was in one of his fuck you bitch, I wanna hear you scream moods.  I can't imagine why it disturbed anyone. 

When I see someone learning the ropes, I just think of it as just that, someone learning the ropes.  I like to see people trying new things, and learning new things.  As for looking at them critically?  I try to never look at someone else and use their perceived faults to make myself feel better.

Yeah you aren't really right there, but then its kinda beside the actual point isnt it?

NZ made a good point, distinguishing between the two, but sometimes as a casual observer it is hard to tell. Once there was an electro thing at a club I go to, the person had put the electrodes across the heart, someone walked up to them and said that it was a bad idea, he moved it and the play continued, but that was a really friendly club and it wasn't a full on scene it was near the bar mucking about, totally different. If someone interrupts me during a scene, anyone at all actually I don't care how well I know them, I get totally fucked off, it ruins my space. I make a LOT of noise, one woman sweetly referred to it as squealing like a pig, and it has caused people to decide I couldn't 'take it' that it was unsafe, bollocks was it. I have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but I have the heart and (love of pain) of a king, or something to that affect.

Can't fuck with a slender girl...Thay are way too fragile.  Only BBW's should be allowed to participate in an activity where they are hung upside down.  Probably need a crane and some heavy duty cable, but you can beat them for hours and they are just happy to receive any type of attention they can get....Also, I think I read somewhere that it is good for their spine.
