My subbie is disabled. I can't say that it has no effect on our relationship or the way we live our day to day lives, but I can say that it was not a factor in my interest level in collaring him. Everybody's got challenges in life, and the ones he has had to face from living with CP seem to have made him a better and stronger person with a lot to offer in the way of personality, intellect and creativity. Given a choice between a subbie whose legs don't work so well but whose brain definitely does, and a cute young thing with strong legs and less of a brain, it's a no-contest situation. A kinky gamer geek sub with the intelligence and creativity to run awesome D&D campaigns, yep, that one's definitely for me. The disability part was a hell of a lot less important than the compatibility part. It's nice to be able to make lemonade out of the lemons that life hands you on occasion, so I'll remark that some of the bondage positions he can get into look fucking amazing. He can't be hogtied very well in the normal position since his legs bend at a bit of an odd angle, but he can be tied in some really extreme positions that look absolutely torturous and brutal but are completely easy and comfortable for him. We've really made some jaws drop at play parties, which is always good fun. At some point I'm going to take pictures of these bondage sessions, which look like I broke his fucking knees to get him into them, and send them to annoying subs who pester me online. "THIS is what I do to slaves who belong to me, and you're next in line if you wanna serve ME!" Hee hee. www.kinked.org has some good resources for people in the lifestyle with disabilities.
