The opinion of a liberal will soon be so irrelevant as to not be worthy of even reading...much less responding to..... Obama is desperate and done, and his draining of the treasury will preclude ANY demopuke from being elected to high office for decades..... that is really all you need to focus on.... your comments on Palin are laughable......

Yes, thank you for your always thoughtful and intelligent input.

The state of Alaska has very limited governmental resources, which were being unduly tied up by the haters coming after the governor. Thats unfair to the residents of Alaska, don't you think? Bill Clinton had the resources of the United States government at his disposal...

And you know, maybe Bill Clinton should have quit, if he was unable to perform his duties. If he was too distracted by all the scandals THAT HE CAUSED.

Actual scandals - not endless frivolous attacks, as was the case with Alaska.

She's explained that. Could it be that you just don't want to get it? The haters were coming after her with a vengeance and she was being forced to devote all her time and energy to fighting off their numerous frivolous lawsuits against her as Governor as well as against the state, and so it was the best thing for Alaska that she resign.

I just can’t understand how people can respect a person who betrays the trust of her state by quitting and abandoning the good people of Alaska that voted for her policies.

Butch

Sanity every Governor or politician at that level gets the same treatment...Clinton for instance...did he quit...did Bush quit...did Cheney quit?

If she becomes President do you think it will be any easier? Do you want to take the chance on some one who can't handle political pressure let alone world political pressure? I sure don't. There are other better qualified Conservatives out there that would do a better job and I could trust.

I don’t trust quitters…but perhaps she did not quit…maybe her own party gave her an ultimatum…resign or we will impeach you…far more likely to me then her rambling resignation make no sense speech. I guess that would make it ok then.

Butch

David Furm a former speechwriter for George W. Bush  said: "Basically, quitting for the stated reason that you can't get anything done in your job and because you can't endure the criticism you're receiving and then cashing in, in order to make a lot of money is not a good resume with which to run for president of the United States."

Would she look more presidential if she had teleprompters set up all around her like Obama did when he was speaking to a sixth grade classroom?

Learn how modifiers work in the English language. It will help your comprehension.
You can't find where I said it because I didn't. When you find the actual quote you think you read, then we can talk about comprehending it.

I'm actually pro-trade agreements. People bitch and bring up anecdotal laments, but they generate far more jobs and economic opportunity than they cost. You've only to look at the numbers.
Actually, I am looking at all the businesses that have closed because of it.
And that's the problem. You're looking at some pieces and not the entire picture.
That might be true. I guess it can be hard to look at the whole picture, when all you see around you is places closing down.

But if you want to assign blame---and despite what you say, that's what you did---then assign it correctly.
Oh ok, so your saying that congress did this without any help from billy boy? I blame them both personally,
At least you've acknowledged you're assigning blame, and at least now you're doing so fairly.
but I know some people have to play the right vs left game to be happy, so by all means carry on.
What an asshole. You're the one who assigned the blame. I pointed out it was bipartisan. Spin away.
I blamed billy. You pointed out that the republican congress was also at fault and I agreed. What part of that is being partisan?

Hey now, she was probably just thinking of the rest of us and trying to save money on paper. You know we have to cut costs where ever we can.

Or more like demonstrated ignorance, like denying the evidence and insisted we roamed the earth with the dinosaurs?

She'd look like she had a clue what a teleprompter was at least, which would make her look a bit better than she does now.
(I always find the neocon teleprompter hysteria hilarious: is it just jealousy because the chimp and Reagan both had to be fed their speeches through a hearing aid instead?)

Yes. She's not even good a cribbing; it looked like Tina Fey doing Palin.

Come on, moonbeam. Put down your bong for a minute, and try to focus. Now honestly, wouldn't it be nice to have a president that doesn't need every word fed to her on a screen? Who could give a speech from just a few words for reference written on the palm of her hand...

What, like Reagan and Bush II who were incapable of reading a speech off a screen and needed to be fed their lines through a hearing aid? Yeah, they both showed your country off very well indeed.

They've got you brainwashed. Free trade agreements don't create more jobs than they cost. The truth is, our economy was about to explode into prosperity before NAFTA, and China were signed. For the first time in decades, we were running yearly budget surpluses, which is the first step in eliminating the national debt. Then Clinton makes a bonehead move and goes ahead and signs NAFTA, and China, despite the fact, that everyone knows you don't mess with something that is working. Anyone with any common sense knows that the results of free trade agreements take 5 to 10 years to become apparent. Now look at our economy now. You simply can't argue with reality.

I know it's hard for a liberal to comprehend, but everytime you buy a foreign product from overseas, the people who made it and their business owners don't pay any U.S. Income Tax. Perhaps that explains where our budget surpluses went??? Ya think??? Do you realize that the Chinese are planning on building car factories in Mexico, to further undercut our economy. By supporting these ludicrous free trade agreements, you only reveal your true lack of common sense. We can't compete with 3rd world countries on their labor costs, and that's a fact. There's no way we can come out ahead on these agreements. Oh sure a few corporations will do quite well such as Wal-Mart, but does it make sense for a handful of corporations to benefit, while the middle class is systematically destroyed? Just wait until the baby boomers retire and spend their parents inheritance. The next generation won't have anything to inherit, and that's when all hell is going to break loose.

You want to create jobs in this country. First you enforce the immigration laws and cut the unemployment rate in half in just a few years. Then you pass fair trade agreements that at least give our corporations a fighting chance without having to outsource our jobs overseas and our factories to Mexico. No one is talking about eliminating overseas trade. That's another way they get you to back down, by accusing you of being an isolationist. Trade has been around for thousands of years, and it's never going to end. What we are talking about are "fair trade" agreements.

Geeze, I can't believe even liberals have fallen for this free trade scam. By the way Palin will cost the republicans the election if she runs since she is another open borders, free trade lunatic. Half the republicans have already awakened, and they will refuse to support her globalist agenda. This is what happened in the last election. The RINO's had just enough brainwashed senior citizens left who believed everything McAmnesty was telling them to win them the nomination. While the other 40% absolutely refused to vote for another globalist who tells people in Michigan and Ohio that those jobs are lost forever. Get over it.

Not coincidentally, Obama's popularity began to rise when he started telling the people in Michigan and Ohio, that he would at least renegotiate NAFTA. Although that turned out to be a lie, so far anyway.

Time for new ideas and actual new parties (vs. re-named rehashes).

Palin barely has the brain of a mediocre high school graduate.

"We have trade missions back and forth, we do. It's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia. As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there, they are right next to our state."

The infamous Couric interview transcript.

Really, some people should lay off attacking Obama for his oratory skills when they defend... this  .

They're off their fucking trolley.

cuck,

Tell this to any reasonably sized business, all of whom have significant markets overseas.

Get back to us when they're done berating you.

Put some numbers with your rant. You'll find you're wrong.

Totally agreed, thishereboi, except now I demand that you apologize to hockey moms They shouldn't all be slandered in that way...lol...
