I can appreciate that some people are at different stages in their search and may not want to erase their profile completely.  Or, as many profiles state, some might just be here to read the forums (which are very informative and often fun) or meet/talk with other like-minded people.

I have met a couple of people from this site and while they were amazing experiences, I needed to take a step back for a while.  I erased almost everything on my profile but do not go invisible because a. I don't actually know how yet <grins> and 2. when I go into a chatroom I at least want the basics there in case anyone cares to take a look. 

I enjoy reading the profile of someone chatting and want to return the favor.  Alright <hangs her head in shame> I totally perv every single profile whenever I am in chat...its an addiction.  I am just curious and its fun to see where people are from, how old they are, etc.

Here I am at the end of my post and I have absolutely no cure or words of wisdom for your problem.  I simply do not see it as a problem....but would defend your right to just  go on about it without feeling any urge whatsoever to change my ways. <smiles>

Status: offline 		For one thing, there's a filter on this site in the search - "they are seeking ...." - you can select Doms/Switches/Poly/etc.
In short - if you set the right filter, and there are people whose profile does not match their 'sepcifications' - you have a legitimate right to complain, maybe even officially.

If not - then it's YOUR fault that you are hoping to find a high percentage of eligibility

Nothing wrong with that. I'm the same way. For the longest time I didn't have much of anything in my profile, and felt a bit hypocritical. I guess it was just a matter of getting comfortable.

The little symbols under our knicks indicate, roughly, how many posts you have put up on the boards.  Icecream cones, BDSM symbols, handcuffs, paddles... and the number thereof all have meaning....  For instance, at 100 posts I think I got my first set of handcuffs.  I'm hoping for my second when I hit 200.  It'll be a while before I get up there in the big dog range of 3 or 4 paddles...  Or even get my first paddle, like smilezz, which comes at 500 posts I think....

If I am correct, it goes something like this

Posts 1 thru 19 - 1 icecream cone.
Posts 20 thru 99 - 1 BDSM symbol every 20 posts.
Posts 100 through 499 - 1 Handcuffs every 100 posts.
Posts 500 + - 1 Paddle every 500 posts.

If I am not correct, I am sure someone will admonish me *LOL*

Excuse the fuck out of those of us who have other things to do beside look for the next scene.  Perhaps it's because we're too busy actually HAVING them to be bothered.

Jeeezes, you couldn't say "I'm frustrated" or "Wading through incompatible profiles has discouraged me"?  Perhaps a couple of lessons in effective communication would take you farther than you know. 

How's that for a rant?
