I'm pretty deeply curious about the Dominant psychology because I don't understand it very well at all, being as I am on the other end of the spectrum.

I want to know what it means to be a Dom to you.
I want to know what you enjoy about being in the Dominant role.

I'm also curious to find any websites which deal with the psychology of Dominance. Especially sites which explain Dom/sub relations and the Dom's responsibility to their subs.

If you've ever had a child or a pet, you will understand the desire to own something, to take care of something. Now take that same dynamic and apply it to an adult that you love and care for... it blows my mind.

it's the way i see women, i think if they would be useful to me

with a woman that i have a relationship with it's knowing i exert control over her

when i'm using her in some fashion well it just gets my cock hard

other than that i'm just like everybody else

It means I live in my house as I wish. It means I build my home in the manner I desire, I fill it with the people I desire, and I rule over that home as I desire.

What do I enjoy about it? I enjoy having a voice that commands. I enjoy the challenge of providing a structure in which other people may grow and thrive.

It means I get the remote when I want it.
It means I can share it IF I want to but it's not a requirement.

For me, being the Master means that I can dictate the nature of the relationship. It means that I'm allowed to be compassionate, instead of being forced to be self-protective, because I know that if my needs are threatened, I can have them met by fiat. Paradoxically, being the Dominant allows me to focus more attention on my partners - I can afford to be more vulnerable and compassionate because I have explicit permission to correct any of the issues that usually punish vulnerability and compassion.
