ORIGINAL: UniqueRaven Exactly. And for what it's worth, i don't see the act of looking both ways when i cross the street as being disobedient - that is part of being obedient, to do things in a way which keeps me as his property safe. But the point is that i cross the street, not stand there and argue about whether it would be legally or emotionally damaging for me to do so. Being obedient doesn't make you stupid - in more ways than one. It just means you do as you're told. i see very little drama in this. Oh, and btw, i don't factor much into the fact that osf started this discussion - he isn't my Owner, so i'm not responding for *him* - i'm responding to the discussion in general, for my dynamic, and the man whom i serve. [;)] Dont know if this has been brought up, but, im going to do so now. Everyone talks about an Owners responsibility to the slave... what about the slave's to the owner? Now, before you think you know where this is heading... its me... im not that easy to read. i believe an owner does have that responsibility... i also believe a slave does as well. yes, i know, slaves are supposed to obey. but they are also supposed to protect what their owner owns as well. some men want door mats... a minority... an extremely small minority. most men, the majority, want intelligent women who obey. consider this, if you will. if obeying lands you in jail... you being the slave... who is at home serving? who is taking care of the responsibilities? no one lives in a vaccumm, our actions affect many lives. from co-workers and family, to strangers on the street. while im sure the tittilation of such an exposure, and the act of obedience, is heady, the reality is, its a stupid move. Most often, you may see this where the slave is commanded to perform public acts while the man is safely elsewhere, immune to the consequences. Merc, thanks for the link to that restaurant... never heard of it but it sounds wonderful. Now, in a place like that, i could see stripping without fear of any kind. There are clubs, dungeons, private homes, ect for that kind of activity. as slave, i would think my job would be to protect my owner from harm, even him harming himself and me. when caught up in the moment, yeah, it sounds exciting... behind bars, that excitement tends to wane... and his will too after a stint in the county jail for the slave, as well as fines, legal fees, and possibly having the slave be registered as a sex offender, depending on who was around when he commanded her to strip. just sayin' i'm not going to type much here because i think this thread has really run its course. [:)] i've highlighted a key part of my point in my original post, above. All i will add is that i wouldn't make the choice up front to be owned by someone who would ask me to do something illegal, or permanently physically or emotionally harmful to me or anyone else - that violates the need that i have to be able to trust him as my owner. This is one of the reasons i identify more as "slave-wired" than "true slave" - your mileage may vary, and all that. It is the art of the slave to balance obedience, intelligence, and protecting her owner's property, no matter what the command. And that art will vary from slave to slave, and owner to owner, just like - as some say - snowflakes. [;)]
